Re: Can't connect to RA
I'm not getting any response for any command I issue. If I wait long enough I see a /status/ request that appears to be the outbound attempt to send data to the portal. When I try to send commands they seem to reboot the controller about a minute later? No output in the serial monitor for this but I...

Re: Can't connect to RA
I have uploaded code to the controller a few times. I used the RA wizard as part of the arduino IDE and then I also used the webwizard to generate new code. This is what it is running now.
I'm not familiar with how to directly issue commands from arduino. Is there a doc or guidance anywhere on that?

Can't connect to RA
I have an old RA Plus I was trying to use on my new frag tank. I haven't run this since last May. Everything appears to be working but I am not able to connect locally to the RA at http://192.168.1.101:2000/wifi. I am able to ping this IP and get a response. I can't connect to it locally from the ph...

Re: 3D Printed Display Bracket
Will you be selling these and can you print in other colors? Sent from my H9493 using Tapatalk Hadn't really thought about it, was just making them to print/share. I could probably print a few though if people don't have the means to print them. Right now I only have red/white/black filament. I als...

Updated thingiverse with mounting holes. Left the one without holes in case anyone wants to use that one.

Re: 3D Printed Display Bracket
Oh very nice, and I love the logo! One critique if I may, I'd make it 3/4 of the height of the controller for stability and add screw holes on the back or maybe dimples for screw locations so that everyone can use different sized screws. But at least with the dimples we know mounting would generall...

Re: 3D Printed Display Bracket
Ended up designing my own. My printer is new so the print isn't as clean as I'd like but I'll get that dialed in sooner or later. 3D Printed Display Bracket
Has anyone printed a bracket to hold the RA+ display/head unit? If so, would you mind sharing the STL file? If nobody posts I will update after I design one. I can potentially work on one for the star controller too but I don't have one of those.

Re: Skimmer Shorted - Lost outlets
Found them. Thanks.
Is there any way to beef up the protection on these in case something shorts again in the future?

Skimmer Shorted - Lost outlets
My skimmer appears to have shorted resulting in the loss of outlets 1, 2 and 3. The equipment on ports 1 and 3 is okay, but the outlets are dead, along with outlet 2 where the skimmer was plugged in. The other outlets were operating fine but I took the box off the wall for inspection. What I assume ...

Re: Wifi will not connect after firmware update
Is this still the updated macro? I'm not sure what host is the right one.
HOST=104.36.18.155:80
EDIT: Looks like this host is working. My portal began updating. It won't work in Chrome for some reason though. Whole page goes blank.

Re: Heater Port: "On" or "Auto"?
I have it set to turn on at 79.2* and off at 81.2*. Current tank temp is 82*. I had the outlet set to "On", just switched it to "Auto" and it turned grey. I'm taking that as progress, because previously it would turn red. So now in theory, once the tank temp goes down to 79.2 it ...

Heater Port: "On" or "Auto"?
It doesn't seem like my heater port runs on Auto while in the temp range it's configured to, so I'm assuming this needs to be set to On? I am using internal memory if that matters. Also, should the heater port turn off on overheat events? It technically shouldn't be on if the overheat temp is higher...

Re: JEBO WP-40
Bummer there is no speed control in the controller. Wish I had a way to control them, oh wait, I have a Reef Angel.
I guess that means my idea to design a drop in PCB replacement for their controller might still be viable.

Sweet.
I would need the dimming module to control 4 ports though, correct?

Help me pick my modules
I'm new to RA and I think I know what I need to get up and running I just wanted to verify here before I made my purchase. I currently have a ReefAngel Plus. What I am going to be controlling are two LED channels and two Jebao WP40 pumps; all via PWM. I also want WiFi. I believe I need a PWM dimming...

Re: JEBO WP-40
I figured something similar would occur. Of course, I just found the plug too...just had to be smart about what I searched for. And what do ya know, it's like the ones they use for LEDs. LMAO.

Re: JEBO WP-40
I'm sorry, but could you be more specific? Looking for an "LED Driver Connector" is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Like you said, there are tons of them available. It appears to be a water proof XLR connection, perhaps a bit smaller, but I am not having any luck locating one. I...

Re: JEBO WP-40
Thanks for the reply Roberto. My motor control guys agree. I ran your LPF values through a simulation and it looks good.
Am I correct that you found a compatible plug for the Jebao pump? Would you mind sharing a part number?

Re: JEBO WP-40
This is what I mean. Here is a time domain simulation from an LPF signal providing a steady 4V. I am of the understanding that since we are supplying a PWM signal to the LPF, you still have a frequency. The LPF smooths out the PWM signal but you can clearly see a ripple exists after the LPF. Thought...

As you know, the reaches of your work extend beyond the RA community. I never really intended to buy a RA because I prefer to build my own controll...
