Re: Ph probe gone bad?

Which device are you using to read the data from the probe? The display, or are you getting the low readings from a client application? I did have a similar problem with an intermittent ph low alarm being sent to my email from the Windows client. I still got that intermittent alarm with the probe in...

Re: Weird PH probe issue

That's the only way so far I know about it... The alerts from the client app.

I have not seen the low values when I view in the iPhone app.

Re: Weird PH probe issue

What's the next thing to check? I have the same issue (frequent temp drops on the ph reading) and it kept happening in the cup of tank water. Fairly new probe, a few months old. Thanks.

Your RA backboard\cord management system

When mine was on the door I had a drop of water go in the controller in space around the temp probe plugs and fried one of the chips on the board (Roberto graciously repaired it, I bought a plus board upgrade anyway). Must have happened during maintenance. I've since moved everything outside the cab...

It was definitely the board, just as you suggested. The new board works fine and there are no issues with the relay box.

Re: Reef angel stopped working tonight

there is one jumper I can find on the board. It is on a bank of three, two pin connectors between the joystick and the serial port where the USB and Wifi cables connect. it is on the pair of pins to the far left towards the joystick.

No. That doesn't seem to do anything.

It uploads (avrdude done), leaving the power LED on, status LED off, nothing on LCD, no sound from the relay box.

is there a simple way to add a "sleep" timer in between the toggles? So that I can do something like Wavemaker 1 comes on for random time between X and Y seconds When that time is complete, there is a delay of Z seconds Wavemaker 2 comes on for random time between A and B seconds when comp...

I'm trying to use some of this code for the wavemakers, and am finding that after my nighttime period, which is supposed to end at 8am, that port 5 is staying stuck ON. Not continuing to follow its overnight setting which is the WavemakerRandom at 25-30 seconds, but just staying on until I reset the...

disable the ATO?

Hi, I've moved my ATO to a dedicated controller so would like to disable it to save the code space for other functions. What is the easiest way to do it? I've commented out the #include <RA_ATO.h> statement in my INO file, and the ATO functions assigned to the relay port, but still get an error when...

Re: IR control? Or other way to control LED?

That is a tricky question. Although you can send commands over wifi, you can only send to one server. Usually people send data to the reefangel.com server to keep their webbanner updated, but you can send to any server of your choice. In this context, commands = events? = data? Guess I will have to...

Re: Reef Angel Installer 0.9.0 released

OK, no worries. I will do the configuration work on a more modern machine. The one that is throwing the errors is an older industrial PC that I am using to run the client software (works fine) so it may be the hardware that is challenged.... it's a 500MHz Via processor with 512 MB RAM :) ... Thanks ...

ATO: (not a) Bad float switch?

I have set up the two float switches in the standard configuration (low switch with wires at top). The low switch activates the relay properly. However, the float switch does not seem to turn off/disengage the relay. It only shuts off either after the 60s timer expires (requiring me to clear the ala...
