Re: Expansion module
I reloaded my code and unplugged the unit from the computer and now it says:
35.0/35.1
Should I check it with my refractometer? Or do you think it's good to go?

Re: Expansion module
it does not like this line:
e.lcd_draw_text(0, 255, 10, 10, SalRead());
it flagged it yellow and gave an error that said:
invalid conversion int to char

Re: Expansion module
Well, it ran fast and said done before I could blink. I reloaded my pde and now it says - 5.9. That seems like an odd number. Does it seem right to you?

Re: Expansion module
That seemed to work. I had to disable my custom menu and then load your code. I then reloaded my pde. I hooked up the salinity module and the system is still running and not kicking in and out.
Now...what about calibration of the module and probe? Right now it says 51.2. I assume that is PPT?

Re: Expansion module
1. The hub worked
2. The relay expansion worked and the 2nd relay box seems to work fine.
3. Plugged in the salinity box and as soon as power is applied, the main relay box starts kicking in and out. I looked at the RA display while this is going on and the salt display is going wild.

Expansion module
I just hooked up the expansion hub and and plugged in the second relay box(which was already connected and running) and I plugged in the salinity module. I plugged the both relay boxes in and when the system came on, it would run for a second or two and shut off and come back on - over and over. Can...

Re: Custom wavemaker code
Thanks Roberto. I will try it out on Thursday when I get home. I hope it works - it's a real pain to have to plug/unplug the power heads for a little extra water action.

Re: Custom wavemaker code
Yep, that did it, it fixed the menu screen. However, it seems that when I hit the buttom for the "turbulant water", all the pumps shut off. I looked at the code and it seems that this section might not be right? ReefAngel.Timer[1].SetInterval(random(15,90)); ReefAngel.Timer[1].Start(); Ree...

Re: Custom wavemaker code
I can't really tell if it works. The menu does not really work at all. After I load the PDE file, the screen comes up blank. Then if I push the button, the main screen comes up and if I push it again, it goes right into the feeding mode - no menu ever comes up. Then if I push it again, it just says ...

Re: Custom wavemaker code
Thanks Roberto, it looks real cool. I have a question though - I have not tried it yet, but it looks like it is using both port 5 & 6 on the same box for the main wavemaker and when the turbulent water mode is triggered it then uses 5 & 6 on the second relay box. IS this correct? What I need...

Re: Custom wavemaker code
I see that if I take away the (from the current wavemaker code) the 2 power heads that I don't want, that will make only the 2 that I do want run as I would like. I could then build a menu function using the WDT(?) to make the other 2 run when I choose that option in the menu - there-by making all 4...

Custom wavemaker code
I am just kicking around this idea: I have 4 power heads - they give great flow to the tank and the RA is runiing all 4 on a random timer cycle(code supplied by rimai). I find that it's really too much flow. 2 are enough on opposite sides of the tank, set up with opposing flows. But...I see that it ...

Re: Custom menu question
I figured as much. The time/date code segment must be big, even if it seems to be a simple function.

Re: Custom menu question
I did try that and the pde will compile. The time/date is big - That's what I thought. But, if I want to add another menu entry of any kind, will the code be too big again or will it be okay(being that the t/d function is huge)?

Re: Custom menu question
This was my running pde file - all I added were the custom menu lines. Here is the code: /* The following features are enabled for this PDE File: #define DateTimeSetup #define DisplayLEDPWM #define RelayExp #define wifi #define VersionMenu #define PWMEXPANSION #define CUSTOM_MENU #define CUSTOM_MENU...
