Yep, the 12 VDC power supply was the issue. I picked one up from Radio Shack and wired it up... lights came right on as normal.
I got an Enercell 12VDC, 1.5A Output and replaced the original I had with the dimmer. Worked like a charm!

Problem with (analog) dimming module
I've had my Reef Angel setup for a couple years now and everything has been working perfectly until last Friday. I've not made any changes to my code nor hardware for at least a year, maybe more, so I'm not sure what is happening. I have 2 Apollo LED's that require an analog signal to control dimmin...

Re: Android Reef Angel Status
Curt, I just installed and checked out version 2.0.0 - Beta 3 and here are a couple comments/feedback: 1. I love the new side panel look and feel for the menus. I think the latest 1.0 release method works well too, but the new style is more inline with all the newer Google apps and stuff so it feels...

Re: Portal Notification Manager
That explains it then. I was expecting an immediate notification of some sort and only tried it for a minute or two then gave up on it.
I'll do some more testing for longer periods of time later on to see how it all works.
Thanks guys!

Re: Portal Notification Manager
Hey Curt, I downloaded this new app and added a couple notifications, but not sure if it's doing anything. For example, I added a notification for: VT Nutrient Transport Mode (wanted to test to see if NTM begins after feeding mode ends... as I've added those instructions to my INO code). Parameter: ...

Re: Cloud and Lightning Code
Lee, is that because you haven't had time to try or because you ran into issues/errors that still need to be worked out? If it's simply a matter of changing just the PMWValue variables, maybe I'll try to take a stab at it. In fact, I'll take a look at it now and see if I can figure it out. I'll repo...

Re: Cloud and Lightning Code
Has anyone had any luck modifying this code to work on the dimmer expansion module yet?
I'm getting ready to redo my entire coding for my tank upgrade and was hoping to incorporate clouds/lightning.

Re: Tank Upgrade = Revised RA Code, Questions...
Hmm, looks like the cloud/lightning code is working great for Colin... except it's only good for the standard RA dimmer ports. I have the Dimmer Expansion so I guess I'll have to keep that on hold until Lee or Colin can provide a version that works with the expansion dimmer. I think Lee was planning...

Tank Upgrade = Revised RA Code, Questions...
I've had my RA Plus running for about 2 years now, mostly without any issues. I just upgraded from a 75G to a 120G and I've removed some pieces of equipment (due to addition of a manifold system on the return line) and added a couple dosing pumps. With the new build, I also made a side cabinet to ho...

Re: Android Reef Angel Status
You do have the option to show ATO LOW and/or ATO HIGH status on the controller screen of the droid app. These will tell you if the float switch is activated (On) or not (Off). What I do to check if ATO needs to be cleared is to check if the ATO relay switch is On or Off. If it's Off but the ATO LOW...

They are terminated in DC connectors, but you can cut and splice your equipment if need be. Each cable is about 20" and each channel is capable of 500mA. Was considering buying the Power Control Expansion, but I was wondering about these connectors that come with the expansion too. I know you ...

Thank you for the reply Drew, but the only thing I saw in Globals.h was: byte PWMParabola(byte startHour, byte startMinute, byte endHour, byte endMinute, byte startPWM, byte endPWM, byte oldValue); Globals.cpp has this however: byte PWMParabola(byte startHour, byte startMinute, byte endHour, byte en...

PWM Parabola - What's the calculation it performs?
I was just curious as to what the actual calculation the parabola function performs to determine the intensity % at whatever time of day it is? Maybe I missed it, but I tried to peek at all the libraries and I didn't see it anywhere in there. From what I understand, it uses the start time, start %, ...
Re: Ethernet
Nick, I've had similar symptoms with my controller screen/led blinking and I have traced it to at least 3 specific problems: 1. RF module USB connection (Since you have Koralias, I doubt this is your issue). Whenever the small USB port isn't completely secure into the RF Module, I get the issue. 2. ...

Curt, is there any way you could add a status for ATO High/Low alerts to the Android App? Hmm, I didn're realize you could use PWMSlope as a variable for other functions. That's interesting and if I ever get some free time I might experiment with this.
I'm guessing you could also do the same thing with Parabola too?

Roberto said it measures % of the pipe and not length, so I'm guessing the pvp pipe could be changed for a shorter or longer one, with calibration of course.

Re: Water level expansion more details please!
Thanks for the pics Roberto. That gives me a better understanding of how it would be installed. My Tunze pump wasn't my issue, it was the controller. Since it was shot, I decided to cut/splice the power wire of the Osmo directly to the pump. The pump works whenever it's plugged in, so that was good ...
