Re: Questions on RF Vortech

Not yet, I'll give it a try tonight and let you know how it went. I wanted to do something like Lee did with the tidal flow, but I think I might need to go back to college and take some code classes to figure his code out.

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

Oh my gosh! Do you sleep? So I turned my Direct Connect off and hit save. Then I went to My Tank, hit update and (when I wasn't kicked off the app, iOS7 glitch, I'm sure) I got "Unable to download". And under Controls, I get "Updating" but nothing else happens, for a couple...

Re: Questions on RF Vortech

Roberto, Can you take a look at this code and let me know if it looks okay? I've tried to write the code for my 2 MP10s by copying and piecing-together from other posts. I'm just not sure if I got it right, especially stuff like spacing and these brackets "{}" void loop () {      ReefAngel...

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

From the portal it works fine. I knew iOS7 would end up causing me problems. And I had a feeling that the glitches I was seeing was an iOS7 issue. I'm sure that will get worked out over time, and so am not really worried about that part so much. But the loss of control while on my home network is a ...

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

I'm back... After getting the wifi attachment working perfectly, I decided to try and tackle the RF Module. I went through the RA Wizard again, this time including RF Expansion module and all of a sudden my wifi isn't working from my phone anymore. This ( portal.php ) still works fine, takes ...

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

But what about the fact that the last sentence in the utility text box says, "Trying to connect to your router..."? Isn't that a problem?

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

This is my wireless router software set up for port forwarding. It seems pretty hard to screw this part up. http://i1348.photobucket.com/albums/p730/DeeAnn_M-g/image_zpsce6a864b.jpg At canyouseeme.org I see the following: "Success: I can see your service on xx.xxx.xx.x on port (2000) Your ISP i...

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

I didn't set up the port forwarding until after running the wifi installer. Could that be causing the problem? I'm really starting to think that I'm not computer savvy enough for this system.

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

Dee, I meant the Portal: http://forum.reefangel.com/portal.php Can you connect to the controller using the portal? Yes, clicking that link took me to a new page which displayed my tank parameters. The weird thing is, my RA wifi address on that link isn't the one generated by the wifi installer. The...

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

Everything looks good. Are you able to connect to your controller using the portal? Using the canyouseeme.org site, I verified that port 2000 is open for forwarding. In the iphone, does it say it can't connect? Yes, I get the "unable to connect" message when opening the app. Do you have i...

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

Can you please double check my code? I can see my tank (temp, pH) on the iphone app, but am unable to "connect", and therefore have no control over my system by phone. Using the canyouseeme.org site, I verified that port 2000 is open for forwarding. below is my current code. The ReefAngel....

Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

Hi Roberto, I know my question has been asked and answered a couple of times, but I'm still lost. This is what I see when connecting my Wifi attachment. http://i1348.photobucket.com/albums/p730/DeeAnn_M-g/image_zps9b93952e.jpg DHCP: false AND IP address and port: 0.0.0.0.2000 I know you said that yo...

Re: Analog vs PWM & other newbie ?s

3) Okay, I found out that I can upgrade my ES to W's with an RF expansion chip. So, I'm good there.
4) Still need to know if I need to go analog or PWM though. I'll wait for an answer before I place my order. I don't want to make anymore mistakes.

Re: Analog vs PWM & other newbie ?s

1) The light is definitely dimmable by third party controllers. I asked before buying them. So, will PWM work, or do I need analog, or do I need to get that info from the manufacturer?
3) Bummer!
4) Nice!

Analog vs PWM & other newbie ?s

Hi all, I'm new to the hobby and about to pull the trigger on a RA controller, but have a couple questions. First, this is what I'm working with (what I need to control): CAD Lights PLS-100 skimmer - Tesla Svelte LED - EHEIM compact+ 3000 return - 2X VorTech MP10ES - 2X 75w Cobalt heaters Questions:...
