Debugging Hardware
Can I get a stream from the controller on what is going on? For the last couple of months, things have been getting worse and worse with relays cycling, my water level sensor going crazy and continuous alerts from my my controller. I replaced the controller motherboard a while ago, and everything wa...

Re: Heater Function behaviour changed
For now I have just unplugged the house temp probe and my sump probe becomes T1, so it works, but i'm curious as to why this has changed. I'm feeling stumped!

Heater Function behaviour changed
I havent changed this part of my code for a long time, and suddenly my heaters are switching with T1 values. Its worked on T2 for two years but changed when I reuploaded my code because I have been having issues with my ethernet module. I just changed my controller board because I thought it may be ...

Sounds like a slow air leak. Silicone the joints on the PVC.

Re: MH/daylight/moonlights
I want it internal memory so I can change it without having to reprogram the controller. I know its silly as its a 2 minute job, but that's why.

Re: MH/daylight/moonlights
Bummer. At the moment I have two relays on MHLights, one on standard lights and one on actinic lights. This works fine but I would really like an offset between the halides so they aren't both drawing startup current at the same time. Had a look through the memory slots and nothing stood out that I ...

MH/daylight/moonlights
Hi. I'm getting a new fixture that will have 4 cords. 2 for mh that I would like to offset by 15 minutes, one for 2 t5 that I want on a certain schedule, and one for two further that I want to run at another schedule. I've got the two mh on the mh memory slot, but I'm confused about the mh delay if ...

Relay expansion dip switches.
Hi. Just got a second expansion relay because I'm picking up a t5/mh fixture that I want to run on its own relay so it doesn't overload. Anyway, I plugged it in, and tried to flip the switches and nothing worked. Much scratching of head and then I remembered I need to set the dip switches! So I set ...

Re: checkpower weird issue
I'm thinking its the USB expansion. When I first uploaded the code I couldn't understand why it wasn't working. Turns out the relay that my light is on appears to be stuck on. I can't turn it off with the app either. So I moved it to another spot and the check power function works as expected. Howev...

Re: checkpower weird issue
Bleh. And when I turn the power off my RA doesn't seem to like the power from the inverter and loops at boot and resets with one relay clicking. Its a sinewave 300w inverter so I don't know why it isn't working.

Re: checkpower weird issue
After a bit of fiddling, I don't think its the Ethernet module. It started flicking on and off after a while. Then I tried a different port on my USB expansion for the relay and it appears to be behaving. I've had problems with my water level module reading all over the place and it seemed to be rel...

I'm trying to get my RA to turn off my main light when the power goes out. It works as expected, but when I plug my ethernet module into my RA it turns off the light. im quite baffled why this is happening. The only thing I need to turn off is the light, as all the other ancillary equepment is on th...

Re: Dc6000 and jebao cable
Hmm, and I just found an old thread with someone else that couldn't get one working. Roberto was going to get the pump but it doesn't appear there was a follow up. Wonder whats different with the wave line that it won't work with pwm.

Actually, its a wave line. Just removed it to stick a temp pump in. Skimmer controller box is also wave line. I thought they were all pretty much the same these pumps?

Re: Sanity check please
The duration is set to 20. The into reads properly in the android app and when its hard coded it all works as it should, so the if/else is correct. Got me scratching my head. I might try another address and see what happens.

Dc6000 and jebao cable
Lots of questions from me at the moment.. So I invisioned using my dc6000 for my chiller and have it running at different speeds depending on the tank temp with my pwm expansion. No point having it running flat out if the chiller is off. Went to hook it up today and found that the plug is ...

Re: Sanity check please
Something else that's weird is that when I change my code, sometimes my water level expansion goes crazy. It reads extremely high, then reads zero. What could cause this when I don't touch the ato code?

Re: Sanity check please
OK, just hard coded the temp in, and it works as it should. Have I got my int set in a wrong address or something? I don't understand why it wasn't working as the android app reads the address correctly.

Re: Sanity check please
Yep, have it set to 266. Don't understand why its set to the high power setting when it should be at the low power setting. High is set to 80, low is 30, and the channel shows 80.

Sanity check please
I've added some code for my chiller that I am about to set up, however it appears I have it around the wrong way, though it looks correct to me. What I want is the chiller pump to run at idle when the temp is less than 26.6c and when above to go to full power. The power settings are read from intern...

Temp probe redundancy code
Currently I have only one temp probe in my sump, but I have another at home that I am going to place in there as well for some redundancy. As I leave my tank to its own devices for extended periods, I would like to work in some sort of code should one of the temp probes decides to go haywire. I was ...

OK, came up with this using the override. Im away at the moment and trying to get a few different things done so if someone could check over to make sure it looks sane it would be appreciated. Then hopefully I can upload some cool new features when I get home and it will all work OK. ReefAngel.Relay...

Re: Reading internal memory in loop()
OK, cool. The reading solves that problem. I'll try and find a thread that explains the override/masks and see if I can make sense of it. Thanks.
