Re: Universal App

Roberto - great job on the IOS app, works a treat. Playing with it since yesterday, looks good.
One thing though, the graphs doesn't look right. I get different values on the app than what I get everywhere else. Also it changes the temps from celsius to fahrenheit. Could it be something just on mine?

Re: Anyone running ZEOvit?

I run a zeovit tank, only for a while now but it is really working well. Tips - don't buy everything from the start and follow instructions to the letter. For example, too much flow through reactor - RTN. Get the basics running, zeolites in reactor, start, zeobak, zeofood and spongepower. Don't rush...

Re: Issue with RO/DI Unit after swapping to a "better" membr

I had a very similar issue a few years ago. Turns out my membrane could fit in any way and I had it backwards. Swopped it around and TDS 0 after that. What got me thinking in that direction was also rapid depletion of my colour changing resin and very high flow rates.

Re: WP-40's Seizing up daily

By the way I try and do bi-weekly cleanings but if I forget or just plain lazy I don't push it past a month. I generally see a difference in flow or hear the hum after three to four weeks.

Re: WP-40's Seizing up daily

Weird, the bearing in mine is definitely not bendable. I soak mine in vinegar for about 20 mins. The rest of the pump in warm water and vinegar mix.

Else mode on the controller did it, plus any mode that drops power below 35% or so. After cleaning it works all the way down to about 10%.

Re: WP-40's Seizing up daily

I have 2 WP-40's and have experienced the same issue. I resolved it by removing the impeller, then removing and cleaning the internal "bearing" - it a plastic bit that with a ceramic sleeve where the impeller shaft sits inside the pump. Sometimes it get some gunk in there or it is not seat...

What browser would you recommend Roberto?

I've tested it on Safari on IOS, on OSX I have tried Safari and Firefox.

Wifi web page time out

I get this message way too often, to make it go away I send a x.x.x.x:2000/boot Screen Shot 2014-04-16 at 4.23.24 PM.png I get it on the local network, via internet is no different. The page opens very quickly, but when it needs to update the labels and show my relay ports and dimming expansion, tha...

Re: Wif module not working over cellular data

Francois - who is your SP and what APN is your phone setup to work with? I'm with MTN and using internet as APN gives me issues. Changing it to mymtn made a difference, although it shouldn't according to them.

Re: Lumia 5.2

I actually did use LEDGroupbuy 5 up boards. But, connected to the same ground from the power supply worked perfectly. If you using the LDD without a board then connect to the ground on the actual LDD. If you look at the schematic on meanwell's site it looks like its a common ground in the driver. Be...

Re: Lumia 5.2

I have completed testing mine - it works great. I used the dimming expansion, set to 5v pwm. The trick was to figure out where to put ground (LDD only has one input, no ground). Other than that easy.
On the Apex I cannot comment, might be that it doesn't output the correct signal.

Re: Salinity Probe

Have you checked for stray electricity in your tank? It could also be micobubbles getting caught at the bottom of the probe, if you give it a shake does the the values change?

Agreed. Most drivers has an over/under protection mode that makes the lights flicker.

Re: Battery backup using DPDT relay

I have approached this differently. I have an inverter with 102Ah batteries connected. The power from this goes straight to the RA and power everything. For a power failure detection system I have normal 12V power supply connected to mains, which goes to a relay which is connected an ato port. If th...

Ok I have found the code in your INO, I added the #include <WiFiAlert.h> and your wifialert files to libraries folder. When I add the first few lines of your code I get this error: Albe_v0_1.cpp: In function 'void CheckPower()': Albe_v0_1:127: error: 'WiFiAlert' does not name a type Albe_v0_1:143: e...

Thanks Lee, I am trying to dissect your file at the moment.

Any suggestions on the other labels and custom modes for the jebao's in conjunction with the Else mode?

Thanks, I have already registered there.

I need to distinguish between a power outage and just an internet disconnect as well, thats where a notification would help a lot.

New ReefAngel

Hi everyone - I have been lurking here for quite a while so I thought it is time for my first post here. I am in South Africa - running a 75G mixed reef. I recently got an RA+, expansion module, salinity, dimming, jebao cables and wifi. I am struggling a bit with the salinity probe giving extremely ...
