Looks like it is back to normal..........just thought it was weird that it just climbed up where in the past it read 0.00.

PH Climbing
I have my PH probe disconnected so I can give it a cleaning, it's soaking in vinegar right now. All day today my PH has climbed up to 10.59, with nothing connected. In the past it has read 0 while nothing is connected. Is this a sign something funky is going on with the board? I'm going to reconnect...

Re: Port Forwarding Help
Figured it out..............never changed my networks ip address. The new router had a new ip address, so I need to update that and everything is working perfect.

Port Forwarding Help
I had to replace my aging Netgear router due to it cutting out frequently. I went with a ASUS RT-AC68P for my new one, but now I can't access the Reef Angel externally. I went into the router setup and turned on port forwarding, I assigned the port to the reef angel IP address...........followed 2-3...
Re: Bus Lock
I checked all the connections and everything is the same as it's been since I set it up.
I'll keep an eye on it and see if I can find out what's causing it.

Re: Bus Lock
I have the following -
Reef Angel Plus
3 - temp probes
PH probe
Wi-Fi
Expansion Hub
Salinity module
Water level module
So from what you guys are saying, it's something in the expansion hub?

Bus Lock
What would cause a Bus Lock?
It's happened twice now, I open up the app on my phone and the PH and Salinity are both at minimum readings. I scroll over and the Bus Lock says ON. I do a reboot and things go back to normal again.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve

Before figuring this out, I did download all the new files and installed them. And went thru the fresh wizard and set everything back up again.

Re: Can't update Code
Figured it out............my joystick was just slightly sticking to the right, causing the problem.
Once I centered it, everything went fine.

Can't update Code
I hooked up to the RA tonight to make a couple of changes, but when I go to generate and upload I get an error after a minute or so. It won't generate the new code and upload it to the RA. I did notice it's asking me for a Dynamic DNS...........which I don't use, does that have anything to do with i...

I had to replace the modem this week, and the wifi module stopped working after. I had to reconfigure it with my router again after putting in the new modem.
Any ideas?

Well that was easy...........have to wait for the next reset or power loss to see if it works.

Static IP for WIFI attachment
I've had to reset my modem a few times recently, and with power outages added in.........it's been a pain keeping the wifi attachment connected to my wifi. I've been told that setting up a Static IP would fix this problem, but I have no idea on how to do this. My router is a Netgear WNDR3700, if tha...
Humidity
I see the Humidity expansion shown in the products page, but not in the order page.
Is it still available? If so, how much?
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Water Sensor Tube
Got it all mounted and worked into the system this week. A double heater mount plus a single heater mount, and it's solid. I let it work all week to see how the readings would be, got my RA ATO pump Thursday, and then swapped everything over. So far so good.........everything is working good with mu...

Re: Water Sensor Tube
I got it secured tonight, added an extra heater clip and it seems very solid right now. I'm going to let it read the next few days and keep an eye on it to see how it does. Then I'll use it for my ATO after I see how it does. My Reef Angel ATO Pump should be here in a couple days, then I can finish ...

Re: Water Sensor Tube
So I'm guessing it's ok for the tube to sit on the bottom of the sump? Does it have to be vertical? The suction cup heater clip fits great, but as with any suction cups it looses it's grip. Between baffles won't work for me, I need it in my return section so it will trigger my ATO pump. I have a lid...

Re: Water Sensor Tube
I'm thinking about using some heater suction clips to hold it in place. I'm going to have it in my return section, and it is going to trigger my ATO......so it has to be solid and not moving around.

Water Sensor Tube
What or how are people using to secure the water sensor PVC pipe in their sumps?
The pipe needs to not move so the readings are accurate, so what's the best/easiest way to secure it in place?
Thanks

Re: Salinity Module not holding calibration
I narrowed it down to my grounding probe, which was added right before the salinity probe went crazy.
I have removed the grounding probe, and the salinity module is working correctly again.

Re: Salinity Module not holding calibration
For being about 2 months old, I shouldn't have to pay for a new probe.
It seems to be working better lately, but I have lost all trust in it reading accurately.

Re: Salinity Module not holding calibration
I have 4 things in my sump that could be putting voltage in the water, and I'm going to test each of them individually in an outside container of water. 2 heaters, skimmer pump, and reactor pump.
In my display tank, there are only my 2 Jebao wavemaker pumps. They will be tested as well.

Re: Salinity Module not holding calibration
It was up to 39ppt today, I just went thru the calibration process again. Every time I do the calibration, the number is in a different range.......from as low as 1600's and as high as 2100's. I think it's time for a warranty claim on either the probe or the whole module. It's only 2 months old, and...

Yes.............I'm going to remove it and see what happens.
Before the foam filter experiment it was dropping, now with the foam filter on it's rising.

Re: Salinity Module not holding calibration
Now it's creeping the other direction. I calibrated 2 times over the weekend, and within a day it's starts to creep up towards 36. I calibrated my refractometer, then checked my water and it's spot on 35. Calibrate with the probe in the tank with my tank water, and it holds 35 for a few hours. Then ...
