Strange Stray Voltage
Hey all! I have a *weird* stray voltage issue... I have been getting shocks from the water in both my display and sump for the past few weeks... so i've been trying to figure out what could possibly be causing it... I've tried unplugging each piece of in tank hardware and can't seem to isolate the p...

Wifi - reinitialise
Hi all, I'm overseas for an 8 week trip. We've been away for 2 weeks and my RA has fallen offline. I got my house sitter to reboot routers/wifi etc but the RA wifi module hasn't reconnected... What's the simplest way I can get the house sitter to reinit the wifi? would an RA reboot work? or even a p...

Re: Wifi attachment commands
Of course looking at this now - it makes perfect sense. I'm going to blame being tired.
Do you know if there's a way to check if WC or Feed mode are already active?

Re: Wifi attachment commands
I could be missing something obvious.. but when I call the waterchange mode from the wifi... how do I take the RA out of WC mode? Do I make the same call again to toggle it?

Re: PH probes - reading strange values
tried the cup. it's steady at 7.32 - didn't have time to re-calibrate it...but it's steady and holding.. so i guess it's a voltage issue. I took the floats switches out.. no change. I will try and isolate cause ... there's really only: - 2 x temp probes - 2x float switches - 2 x wave makers (mp10 x ...

PH probes - reading strange values
Hey all! Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why my PH reading a seem to sometimes read really low (like 1). Seems to happen sometimes if I rewire things or plug new stuff in.... but even if I recalibrate the probe it still ends up reading funny. Currently reading 1.63 after just being cali...

Re: ATO Pump - Noise level
Thanks lee! not actually cancer. a rare, congenital tumour that had ruptured in my right frontal lobe. Either way: kicked its ass... The ATO pump, on the other hand, I managed to break (accidentally popped the wires out of the motor assembly - which appears to be sealed closed). Sent from my iPhone ...

Re: ATO Pump - Noise level
I am going to dismantle it tonight and check that it's assembled cleanly. I am also thinking of putting some Vaseline on the moving parts to see if that helps at all.

Re: Salinity expansion - missing junpers
Update: I got my salinity expansion working. For some reason it wouldn't work in the expansion hub initially. I plugged it directly into the RA and now it works. Since then I put it back on the expansion, and it still works. No idea what I was doing wrong initially... but it's fixed ;) Sent from my ...

That would explain why I couldn't find themrimai wrote:Is this an old RA?
All RA+ units are shipped with them pre-installed already.
Thanks - I'll have another crack at getting the probe to work... it's been sitting in it's box for about 9 months

Salinity expansion - missing junpers
I have a salinity expansion module and I following the instructions to set it up. My 2 issues are: 1) I never opened my RA unit before - assuming I just open the 4 screws on the back to reveal the board? I assume I unplug the RA from everything? - will this make everything turn off on my relay? 2) I...

Re: Custom Logging / Data Extraction
Roberto: Thanks. very helpful.
With the relay data in the XML output... how is the relay status encoded? (do you have docs anywhere or should I dig through the wifi cpp?).
Lee: nice... novel use of mrtg .

Custom Logging / Data Extraction
Is there a way i can get access to the state of my relays and the values of my probes? Ie: if i wanted to build a web interface to display these? Ideally i would like a way that i can connect to the RA over a socket on my internal LAN to gather this data.. is this possible with my WIFI expansion?

ATO Pump - Noise level
Hi all! I've *finally* got my reef angel hooked up to my new 4x2x2 tank - it's only taken like a year to get the RA set up! doing well (short story: got diagnosed with a benign brain tumour. had brain surgery. got better. plumbed tank. installed RA.) :) So, my question for anyone who might know is t...

Lunar Expansion Module
Hi guys, I have a refugium and frag tank in my sump and would like to control the lighting inside the cabinet. is it possible to use a single Lunar Hub to control 2 moon cycles? i.e.: the hub description says it can control up to 20 moonlight modules - can each of these be controlled on a separate c...

It's taken me a long time.. but i've just put my order through for my reef angel YAY!

Re: Advice on setting up..
re: ph expansion.. I don't really. just like the idea of being able to graph ph for stability. But if the RA comes with a PH probe I guess I don't need the expansion?
re: salinity probe. Cool. I'll scrap the probe then

Re: Advice on setting up..
slow reply.. life keeps getting in the way! looking at the plus analog product info here: http://www.reefangel.com/product_raplus.aspx when I order, does the RA is for $289 include the float switches, relay box etc? Basically, to start I want to order a RA plus, PH probe, rf module, 3x dosing pumps ...

Advice on setting up..
Hi! I'm currently looking at adding a controller to my system and I like the idea of an open source solution. I'm a programmer and the idea of being able to tinker with my system is very appealing. My issue is: I'm not sure what to order / plan. I'm hoping I can outline my setup and wish list here a...
