Re: Two Controllers with Two Different Menus

Now that you mention it, I seem to recall having that functionality when I first set up my RA 4-5 years ago, somewhere along the way it seems to have disappeared. If I had to guess, I'd say I haven't had it since I switched from T-5s to LEDs. My T-5s were just plugged in to my RA but the LEDs are on...

Re: Power went out, RA never came back on.

New board is finally in. When I first plugged it in the power LED and screen lit up but the screen was blank. I suspect the newer board was looking for a newer screen than the one from my "Reef Angel Main Unit 6.1" board. I figured loading in the code I had been using would solve the probl...

Re: Power went out, RA never came back on.

Adding the RA+ board to cart....
I notice there have been a couple display unit revisions in the last couple years. My RA is an earlier one, at least 3-4 years old, any issues with compatibility between the current RA+ board and my earlier display?

Re: Power went out, RA never came back on.

Thanks, why didn't I think of that? Powering the control head from the USB would prove if the controller works or not, unfortunately, it seems to be the latter. The unit is just as dead when powered from the USB port as it is when it's hooked up to the relay box. I guess it's pretty certain t...

Power went out, RA never came back on.

My power went off yesterday and when it came back on, my RA didn't come back on with it. The controller is dark, no screen, no LEDs, no nothing. My WIFi expansion is flashing blue (and had been already, but I hadn't looked into the lack of connection yet) and my dimming expansion has power, nothing ...

Re: Changing Wifi address?

Re: Changing Wifi address?

Its a Motorola Surfboard 6121. I think I may have the static IP figured out, I'll know in a few days I guess. What I don't get is, why wasn't this a problem before the power went out?

Re: Changing Wifi address?

Thanks Roberto, The thing is, my router has not lost power or been shut off in the last few months but I still need to reconfigure my port forwarding every few days. I need to find a way to get it to stick with the current IP address. Apparently the problem is indeed with the router, I just need to ...

Changing Wifi address?

I had my WiFi module running perfectly for a few months, I only had to reset it once in almost 6 months. Then came Hurricane Sandy and my tank ran intermitantly for 2 weeks while I ran the generator during the day only. Ever since then, my Wifi module can't seem to hang on to an IP address. It's goo...

Re: Why didn't PWM dimming go to zero?

Here we go again... My white channel is still fine, but for t last few nights my other 2 channels have stayed at 1%. Obviously I could add the same code for those 2 channels (if I have enough memory) but I was wondering if there were something I could put in place to take care of all channels at onc...

Can an offset be used on a PWM channel?

I'm refering to the actinic offset for "standard lighting," can that be used for actinics that are on a PWM expansion? What about reverse cycle for a refugium?

Is moonlight adjustable?

I've added moonlights to my new fixture and am running them on channel 0 of a PWM expansion. I used four 3w LEDs and set them up as two strings of two on a Mean Well LDD-300H so that each LED is running on 150mA at just under 3V with the PWM signal at 100. I'd hoped that this would put me in the bal...

Why didn't PWM dimming go to zero?

I finally finished my new lighting yesterday and got it all set up. Channel 0 is moonlighting and channels 1,2 and 3 are royal blue, violet/blue/cyan and white. Everything ran well all day, the levels went up and down as they should all day. The glitch came when I checked on it after the lights shou...

Thanks Roberto, I'd hoped I was just not looking in the right place. We had an electronics recycling day a couple years ago and I got rid of all my obsolete equipment. I had planned to go to Radio Shack later today for a connector anyway, so picking them up would not have been a big deal. Much to my...

Setting up dimming, SDA/SCL jumpers?

In reading the setup instructions for the dimming expansion, I see that I need to add (included) jumpers to the SDA and SCL pins. I opened the controller and found the pins but I don't see any jumpers. The expansion didn't come with any jumpers, I don't recall there being any jumpers in the box with...

I need 1 channel to start (and I am using the single ATO) but I'll need 3-4 somewhere down the road. Is it possible to get a PWM dimming expansion with half 5V and half 10V? Has anyone tried the Mean Well LDD series drivers on the RA?

I'm hearing good things about the LDD drivers and they look like they should fit my project nicely. The thing that has me concerned is that the data sheet indicates that a " >2.5 ~ 6VDC" PWM signal is needed. I seem to recall that the PWM signal from my Reef Angel is 10v, no? Has anyone tr...
