Re: Dosing Pump turned-on for no reason-Please Help!
I use a time delay relay as a failsafe for any type of dosing especially if it's a concentrated solution. These will be independent of any controller to create a maximum time a relay can be switched on. Roberto pointed me to https://www.ebay.com/p/16012060306?iid=381936974053 previously but there ar...

AQLink with Jebao DCP works but some buslock issues
I'm testing an AQLink A1 driver to control a Jebao DCP pump with a dimming expansion module. I can vary the speed of the pump by varying the analog voltage from the dimming module and mostly works as needed. However initially when connecting the AQLink to the dimming expansion the RA* would buslock....

Okay very good. Going to test these aqlinks to see if I can control the jebao dcp return pumps.
Thanks for your help Roberto.

Re: Second dimming expansion not responding
It seems that I have my expansion hub connected to the wifi expansion hub. I forgot that I had to move most connections to the wifi hub to prevent the reboots. Would the prevent me from connecting a second dimming module? I connected the 2nd dimming module to a 2nd expansion hub and that sovled the ...

Re: Second dimming expansion not responding
I did have an error with I2C Mux not found error when in the script that I had to bypass or else the log wouldn't post. Not sure if that would affect the log readout. Currently have connected and working 2 relay boxes, 1 5port dimming modules, one expansion hub, one wifi hub (expanded relay is conne...

Re: Second dimming expansion not responding
The program kept returning "I2C Mux not found", so I changed the if(muxpresent!=0) to keep the program running. Below is what was returned, though I'm not sure what the Mux is for. Currently have connected 2 relay boxes, 2 5port dimming modules, one expansion hub, one wifi hub, one pH expa...

Re: Second dimming expansion not responding
The code compiled and uploaded, but I'm still not getting the serial output. It should output at the bottom of the webwizard after stating that the code was uploaded successfully. That's where the memory should appear correct? Or an issue with the serial writing, anyway to dump the output to a file?...

Re: Second dimming expansion not responding
I loaded the I2CScanner.ino onto the controller but once it loaded it just says code was updated successfully and doesn't output any addresses after that. Checked the bitrate on the COM port to match that of what was in the ino file. Also tried adding the lines below for the RA* but cbi returns not ...

Re: PH Probe with Grounding Probe Problems
I had some issues with stray voltages/grounding in the past affecting my salinity probe. I ended up putting the probe in a small cup and have tank water drip into to cup, and overflow back into the sump.

Second dimming expansion not responding
Hi. I'm trying to get a 2nd dimming expansion to work on an existing system. I shorted the jumper ID, and added to setup: ReefAngel.Add16ChPWM(); Added into the loop: ReefAngel.PWM.Set16Channel(0,100); I checked the voltage across the ground and port 0 but it still shows 0 volts. Other ports are als...

Re: Multiple reboots uncalled reboots in the past days
It seems I had to recalibrate the expansion probes to get them read properly. The salinity probe calibration worked fine on the cloud hub. The pH expansion wouldn't calibrate, so I hooked it back in to the head unit to calibrate.
Thanks

Re: Multiple reboots uncalled reboots in the past days
It's been about half a day now without any reboots, so it's looking good! Tried to cycle the power on the salinity exp and pH exp but the readings are still not correct.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Multiple reboots uncalled reboots in the past days
Good idea. Connected a relay hub to the cloud hub and connected all the accessories to it. So far no reboots the past 2 hours. However the salinity exp, and ph exp aren’t reading out proper values. Salinity is 7 and ph exp is 0.

Re: Multiple reboots uncalled reboots in the past days
Hi Roberto. Looks like reboots are starting to occur pretty frequently again, sometimes in succession. The head unit will reboot and then reboot again even before the lcd displays any values. The Wifi expansion fixed the issues with the RF module and random feed starts. I've removed most accessories...

Re: Random feeding mode being triggered
Hi Roberto, The cloud hub has pretty much solved all the issues with random reboots, random feeding mode calls, and intermittant RF module functionality. Thanks for making it! I'll still get a reboot of the head unit once in a while but nothing that would cause all the modules to stop and restart, s...

Re: What are you all using for powerheads?
Mainly Ecotech MP40s; I have 3 in my 180G. I have tried the Jebao, but they give out in about a year. I stopped replacing them after the third one failed. Hydors will start to get erratic and either stop working or begin to spin backwards sometimes after a year or two. They are cheap but not control...

Okay cool. Thanks Roberto. Some reason everything's been stable with with the RF module plugged in. I only opened up the the RF module to check the board but it looked clean. The cloud hub will be really interesting to add.

Re: Random feeding mode being triggered
Switching the RF module to a different port on the port expansion module didn't fix the issue. I can only assume that there is something wrong with the RF module. Do you still sell the RF modules Roberto?

Re: Random feeding mode being triggered
It looks like the RF module causes the random feed starts to occur. Not sure how that happens. Going to connect it to a different port on the expansion hub to see what happens.

Re: Random feeding mode being triggered
Roberto, Would you know what would trigger the feeding mode to begin? Would a buslock cause the feeding mode to trigger? I know that the light from my RF module sometimes would turn off and then on; resyncing the ecotech slaves when it comes on. The main unit doesn't send any bus lock issue so I did...

Re: Random feeding mode being triggered
Nope, nothing in code that calls a feeding mode to start or stop. I only check whether feeding mode is active in code to allow the RF module to change the Vortech mode.

Has anyone ever had issues with random feeding mode being triggered? Any clues to what could cause this issue?
