Re: Dosing Pump not running on Schedule
I tested this by setting the times to be long enough for the portal to catch them in its 5 minute window. Worked like a charm.

Re: BuildMyLED light compatability with RA?
Squishie, you have the PWM relay box, not the analog. Roberto, can I swap one of my analog boxes for her PWM with no consequences? Do we need any extra cables that may not have been standard with the unit?

Re: New RA Setup Assistance
One of the things that I did when first starting was to go a little slower than you might like, but studied and implemented one thing at a time. That way I was sure what was causing a problem when things started not working like I expected. So to say: 1. Unpack and inspect 2. Power it up, load the i...

Avast ATO w water level
I was able to use hints found in here plus the wizard to get our new Avast ATO working but do not understand the water tube that came with that device. It all appears to work but the menu command that the wizard built stays at 0% regardless of it's position. LMK if you have ideas. Thx

Roberto will correct me if I am wrong but no you don't. His command says to set something based on the state of something else...HighATO. If that is not active then do what the main code says.

Re: Issue connecting to new router with setup utility
for some reason ( or a another nearby router) is putting out a 10.1.10.X address. My Comcast cable box\router does that. What address is your local PC? On the 192 network, or on the 10.1? Do you have a cisco\linksys or some other kind of router looked to a cable modem? THat would probably be what's ...

Re: Salinity making me nuts
My unit has been doing this from day one. I did calibrate it carefully, moved it around to various places in my sump, etc., and yet the performance has been the same. Here is graph from the portal: http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii587/rossbryant1956/salinity_zps3cce1c5e.gif That is about a 24-3...
Re: pH Probe?
folks do it both ways. Just install it and see what happens; others of us get the fluid and calibrate. Go ahead and use it until you get fluid, but don't make radical, chemical changes to your tank until you've had a chance to gauge accuracy.

Re: Just to show how important reef angel is
Usually when I am sounding off\bragging about RA on the boards I frequent I get beat up by all the Apex and other controller owners but something unusual\wonderful happened the other day. A question was asked about which controllers have the ability to monitor salinity and I piped up saying that my ...

that's really cool. I have been experimenting with the dlink dcs 930l which will zoom and just got two cameras from x10.com; one that pans & tilts to see all my tanks and a new one that pans, tilts and zoom. (still hooking those up)
I'll post some links when I have something to show.

I am traveling this week and my wifi has decided to lock-up, go off-line whatever. Is there a way in the code that would have a timed reboot or reset just that everything would get reset periodically? I have my camera working so I'm able to see the tank is alright but I need some way to "poke&q...

salinity probe results swings
I recently hooked up my salinity probe, calibrated it, and have been watching it. It is currently in a fairly high flow area, which I will probably move, but am seeing some fairly wide swings in its calculations. I currently have the portal configured to notify if salinity drops below 32.5 or goes a...

Anyway, thanks from me and I'm sure, the rest of the community for your help and ideas.

it is almost certainly not the RA. The range fluctuation you see now is because it cannot find the probe.

Re: PH probe broken?
first pull it out of the tank water and place it in a small cup of tank water and see if it stabilizes. If it does not it is either a wire than has pulled loose somewhere or a cracked or broken probe.
