Re: Webcam

No problem.
Besides there is no easy way to turn it on and off so if you have it on and access it on you phone without a WiFi connection you'll be eating up a lot of data minutes for the video stream.

Most are not, but lnevo and myself were both on those threads and based our AWC systems on things in there. Both of use went with multihead pumps with a signle motor found on E-Bay. I went with the ThermoFisher D3138-13 w/Masterflex 7024-20 Pump. These are the heads http://www.ebay.com/itm/Masterfle...

Re: Auto Water Change

I don't think the dosing pumps will work. The 2 pumps need to turn on and off at the exact same time. They also need to run at the exact same speed. The RA can turn then on at the same time, but even the same make and model of a pump will not run at the exact same speed. Reading the thread you'll se...

I'm not using the camera anymore.
DMZ on the RA has been working fine.
I was just concerned that it was leaving me vulnerable.

Re: Wifi not working externally.

Called Comcast about this issue and they enabled DMX mode for the RA port only.
I know DMZ is less secure, but do you think I will have any security issues?
I do have the server authentication set on the RA.

Re: Wifi not working externally.

Thanks for the help.
It is working fine switching between the home and away profile.
I haven't had time to call Comcast and either set it to bridge mode of see if there is a way around the NAT loop back.

Re: Wifi not working externally.

You can choose home or away from the drop down up top, but when I'm set to away (like at work) I can't connect to the RA unless I turn off my WiFi and use my data minutes.

Re: Wifi not working externally.

Ok. I'll talk with Comcast again and see if they know how to set it up or if they can get me a different router.
I guess I could also use their router to just connect and put my old router back in south of theirs and let it do the work like before.

Re: Wifi not working externally.

OK. Comcast configured the router for port 2000 to be open to TCP traffic and I still can't get external connectivity, so I'm back to where I was when I originally posted this. STUMPED??? :?: :?: :?:

Re: Wifi not working externally.

Roberto;
I'm dealing with Comcast on the Port forwarding issue.

I know it is port 2000.

I need to confirm that it is TCP or UDP or both and if there is an IPV6 IP address.

No. I had a Netgear, but I removed it and am using the Xfinity.
The Netgear worked fine with the setup and I copied the settings before I remove it.

Wifi not working externally.

OK. I need some of those great minds out there to help me figure this out. Maybe I missed something, but who knows. I got my WiFi working after I switched to a new Xfinity Router, but it will only work internally I can't access it from Away. You would think it was port forwarding, but I set up port ...

You'll need 2 or 3 Jebao/Speedwave Cables (3) if the return pump is a DC pump and you want to control the speed of it. Dimming Expansion (Like you said) ATO Float switched (unless you still have your originals) (1 or 2 depending on how you are setting it up. The 3 modded black boxes will use all 6 o...

This is the code for pipes longer than 15"

Line 55 of WaterLevel.cpp
Change this:

Code: Select all

	addr+=0x03; // Programmable Gain
To this:

Code: Select all

No as long a water can freely enter and exit the pipe.
You have to make sure the holes or slits don't get clogged.

Re: RA water level sensor ATO for dummies...

The length of the pipe us supposedly as long as you want. There is some code that needs changed for that. Let me look for it. As far as putting it in a tank I think a wave maker will mess with the level. Keeping fish out I would cap or plug the end of the pipe and either drill some small holes or cu...

Re: WiFi adapter stopped working. I think???

Cool. It stayed working last night and has been fine today.
Now I need to figure out why it's not working externally.
Portfowarding is setup and port 2000 is open.
I would ask you to check the DDNS to see if you can see traffic, but it doesn't even come through with the external IP address.

So when I'm just sitting around the house trying to dim my lights it should be solid green right, because it is communicating over TCP.
Right?

Slow blinking green all the time.
About every 2 seconds.
The manual says it should be solid green.
