Re: power control expansion and dosing pumps

so, would it just be smarter / safer / simpler to just use a second relay box instead of the power expansion?
its sounds like the power expansion has some noticeable limitations in regards to using our (RA) dosing pumps.

Re: power control expansion and dosing pumps

ok. good to know. I don't currently run more than one pump at a time. I have my schedules set so there's no overlap.
I may run a pump for 30 seconds to a couple minutes and then off (just depends on volume to dose). so that should be ok, right?

Re: Time

in short, No.
there is a millis() but it resets at approximately 50 days. (check arduino.cc and look at the reference section).
the main thing is the hour, minute, seconds functions you mentioned.

what are you trying to accomplish?

power control expansion and dosing pumps

I've currently got 3 of the RA dosing pumps and have them running on my star. They are using their own relay box port for power. I'm wanting to add more dosing pumps but don't want to add another relay box (due to multiple reasons). I saw that the power control expansion module can be used to power ...

the dosing pumps come with small hose barbs. what are their sizes? and where can I get replacement ones? I don't need replacements currently but you never know.

Re: Power control module and water level expansion questions

Well that just gave me a new look at the 4 pack module... I bet I could do, ato, ato resivoir, all 3 dosing containers, and maybe even skimmer skimmer level if I bought 2.... I don't think you can use 2 of the multi level water level modules together. I know you can use the single and multi level t...

Re: Power control module and water level expansion questions

You can monitor any water level with it. Ie, volume of dosing containers, ato reservoir.

I think someone has done their entire ato handling with it instead of a float switch. however, i don't recall how easy/hard it was to implement.

Re: What are you all using for powerheads?

I believe so. The only downside, I think, is that it only uses 4 of the 8 wires. This will allow you to only use 2 of the 4 channels. it's not a big deal initially, unless you plan to use all 4 of the pwm channels. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk Good as I've got it on order. Official Arduino Release with Reef Angel Controllers

We have used a custom build of the Arduino Application for our use with the Reef Angel Controllers. This has worked good in the past, however it has some issues moving forward. Reproducing the build that Roberto does is a bit tedious. Each time a new release of Arduino comes out, we would have to ap...

as for the dimming expansion, it could be the module or the port on the expansion hub. Roberto can help you with the troubleshooting.
