Re: Did someone say iPhone app?
Hi John, I recently upgraded to an RA+ with v9 software and an expansion relay set. Works great on the iphone app, but the ipad app doesn't report the expansion relay and I get an msg to upgrade to v8.5.1.9 to use Modes. Not sure if those are related are not, but either way I thought I'd let you kn...

Re: Got my controller,
So here's what I got after my first night of coding... let me know what you think. Next up is to customize the menu and main screens to show the MoonPhase and Vortech Mode. Anyone have any input on changing the vortech mode through a custom menu? I saw the thread detailing this, but wasn't sure how ...

Re: Updated API?
Just thought I'd post this as a reference to anyone that wants to contribute. This is the Doxygen comment syntax reference. The first section up until it goes into the python reference is a good intro..

Re: Simple sunrise/sunset
Yeah, it looks like only a few functions actually came out of the libraries that rufessor used are needed and there are 2 functions used to calculate the SunRise and SunSet that could be made public. The key will be having them come out in a usable format to turn on / off the lights. Would be a simi...

Re: Updated API?
Excellent, I'll reset my fork tonight to use the dev branch. And on thinking about it, would be better for me to consolidate the comments so I can have everything in my branch when I run Doxygen. I'll setup a repo also for the Doxygen output which you can pull later to put on the main website...

Re: Updated API?
Piper, It looks like you'll first need to setup an account on github. Then you can make your changes. They have some good howtos on how to submit the changes and setup your fork.. Re: Simple sunrise/sunset
Yeah, I'll need to just use the Standard Light functions which is why I asked the question, I don't need to do all the calculations for weather / clouds, or PWM slopes to gently rise and set... but I would like my On time and Off time to be synchronized with SunRise and SunSet... I looked at the cod...

Simple sunrise/sunset
Is there any basic code to get sunrise/sunset. I'm not using the PWM expansion and not using dimmable lights, so for now just want to base my lighting schedule on sun up and sun down...worst case I can strip down the full weather example, but hoping someone had an existing simplified version to work...

Updated API?
Ok, so for tonight's progress, I was able to create a fork and have a copy now on my Mac of the Libraries repo from github. As a first step, I added mainpage.h and committed it. This has the "what is reef angel" text from the home page which now shows up on the main Doxygen page. This was ...

Re: Updated API?
So here's the initial dump from Doxygen http://www.easte.net/RA/html
Definitely nice to browse around and give a quick way to search for functions, etc.
Now I need to see if there's a way to add stubs for the commenting... then we need commenters

Updated API?
Ok, so I'll play with Doxygen a bit, see what I can extract, etc. Maybe it can add comment blocks to the code to make it easier for you guys. if not, I can see what I can do... Any pointers on which files would be best to start with for pulling out the useful functions? As I said, I'm just getting s...

Re: Updated API?
Well, would be nice if I had my controller first... my point was to start getting familiar with the API so I could hammer out the code when it arrives. I'd be happy to assist once I get some experience with the code base. I could probably script something to go through the header/cpp files and pull ...

Updated API?
Is there a later copy of the Library Reference? The link on the website page shows it hasn't been updated since 2010-11-17. I don't see any info on some of the newer functions like DelayedStart and Moonphase, etc... Perhaps I'm missing a link somewhere?
Thanks
Thanks

Ok, as I've been starting with my questions, let me see if I've got my parts list ok as well. I'm looking to control my led (separate power for blue/white - non dimming). Blues on, then whites, whites off the blues...follow sunrise/sunset with offset for my viewing times. RA moonlights x 2, synced t...

Does reef angel support email alert sending ?
Is this "new" feature out yet? I'm using a gravity fed ATO and hoping to send an alert if my reservoir is low...and maybe the other if any drain issue and DT is filling..

Analog vs PWM dimming
Similar question, but I have a LED from China branded by my LFS. They say to just use standard dimmers from Home Depot...does that mean I can use it with the analog dimming? There are no ports for any kind of pwm control.
Thanks
