Clouds and Lightining Effects using standard PWM channels

Hi All,

Here is a similar code used on the PWM expansion module, except this one is made for the standard channels.
Attached is a demo PDE to be used.
Try it out and let me know if it works. I'd love to see a video.

Sorry I've been out of the loop lately... I've been all over the place. I was actually up in your neck of the woods (kind of) at Yosemite. I'm going to change out my board and put this on and should have you a video this week. It's pretty much what I was looking for a while ago, right? Random light effects?

i get an error:
"DaylightPWMValue" was not declared in this scope

DaylightPWMValue=ReversePWMSlope(cloudstart,cloudstart+cloudduration,DaylightPWMValue,0,180);

If you look at the PDE file attachde above, the variables need to be declared on top of the PDE and also initialized.
Please look at that PDE for an example on how to make it work.
You need this above setup():

do i need to change the values?
like 10,00 and 22,15? or leave it as is.

Here's how mine ran. Lightning storm over 10 min starting at 90%. I think we should maybe shorten it up a bit and repeat 2-3 times for a simulated storm. Thoughts?

and yes, my fish did get kind of scared and retreated until the torch for protection... so we'll see how long if this doesn't stress them too much

oh, and if this can be built into a menu item... that's what I want to work on next! I'd like to be able to show it as a party favor.. you know "hey, check this out."

Anyway to just eliminate the lighting parts of this? I'm just looking for random clouds lasting in duration of 15min-2hours...no lighting. :)


Also is it possible to use: instead of PWMSlope?
