Preloaded code and change...

Post by baroutas »

Hi!! In the preloaded code the port 2 is Moonlighit and the port 3 is Actinic light. I want to ask how many Volt and Wat is the output of port 2 and 3, Is Diming this two (2) ports and if is need Volt adapter- converter from 220-12 Volt?
Also i want to change the port 6 (wavemaker pump) to Chiler - Funs. How can i do that? :?:

They will be whatever voltage your mains is.
If your mains is 220V, you will get 220V.
Try the Reef Angel Wizard.

I know that!! I ask bacause i wont to know, if this 2 port output is 12-13 Volt and 2 -10 Amper then i can konect the strip led with no adapter- converter. In this way I would like to cancel the central lighting and to replace it with led strip that will create sunrise and sunset and will provide enough light for my Discus tank!! I can not do that with Diming chanel (Day light or Actinic) because the Votage output is 0-10 volt ( that means low light) and i need more than 12-13 volt and 2 Amper. Ihope to anderstand what i wont to do, I wont strong light and diming to the same port ( that is mean output from 0 to 13-15 Volt and 2 Amper). It is that possible??

No. You need an LED driver like meanwell or similar driver.

One more thing. After you buy a led driver can it be connected directly to RA in port 2-3 (of preloaded code) and then you have an Programing-auto diming chanel ???

Preloaded code and change...

Post by lnevo »

Baroutas...the driver you buy will have 6 cables comin out of it..one pair is +/- for your led string. The second pair is for 120/220 volt input and the last pair will be for the dimming port. That pair will go to the pwm ports on the relay box.

At last, Ihave my new led driver ( Mean weell ELN-60-12 P for PWM diming). The first couple of wire conectend to 220 Volt, the second couple of wire (red-black) conectend to the led strip and the last couple of wire (diming, DIM blue-white) to the Day light diming portal.Up to here everything looks fine....... Now start the problem. I set up the Daylight Port to SLOPE, and begins at 14:00 and ending at 20:30, DURATION 60 minute! When the Daylight Port is near to 15% the led strip open (or close) suddenly whith no Diming...... Is any one to know what is hapens and how can i fixed this??

Thats the cut off point for your drivers then. You'll need to set your slope function to use that as the minimum.

I set up, for sun rise, the Day light Port to start at 11% (the lights are closed), the highest level at 13%, and ending, for sun set, at 11%.DURATION 10 min!
The critical point is at 12%. In this point the led strip light start to open! Close complitely at 11% ( in a sort period time, 5 sec, ). What are the adjustments to i have a sun rise-set period of 15 min???

If you are using parabola, then your entire slope is going from 11% to 13% and back to 11%... not much change here, especially if your LED doesn't start till 12% and then your only going to be at your peak for a short few seconds as you said...

You want your peak to be more like 100% for full open or whatever you want your max dimm to be... and the duration should be longer than 10 minutes...

If you want the sunrise to be 15 minutes, then your looking at the slope function... the arguments there would be for again minimum, maximum, and then the duration of the slope which in this case should be 15 minutes.

Are you using the wizard to setup this up? I'm not sure the menus on the pre-built code...

Yes i am using the Wizard to setup at begining, after just i change the prices from the code! It is possible the problem coming from the led strip, because the peak started suddenly and the light is strong enough!! If i change the led strip with singl Leds (12volts) put it in row, I fix the problem? Must the leds have sertaen specification for normal diming?

I think your code on the other post you made looked ok... sounds like a hardware wiring issue. Is this a new LED kit your setting up?

lenovo witch pair of cable, from mean well driver, (red- black or wite-blue) will go to the pwm ports on the relay box? I think i have put the wrong pair to the pwm ports and the port just open and close the led with no diming....... :( :x
