New to the marine hobby

Hi everyone,

I am new to the saltwater world. I have a 29 gal sumpless setup at the moment. Thinking of adding a sump in the future. I plan on getting a Reef Angel in the near future. I am going to be using the 165 watt black box led lights modified to work with the reef angel. Would it be best to go with the RA+ analog to control the lights then get the dimmer module latter on to control the wave makers and pumps?

Thanks much.

Welcome!

I don't know much about the black boxes, but if they take a 10v analog dimming signal then that's what you need.

The dimming module is a no-brainer. It will put out 5 or 10v, analog or PWM.

Thanks. What is the best way to control the jebao rw series wavemakers?

10V analog or PWM. Ditch the Jebao controller and use the RA Jebao cable.

10V analog will do the jaebo or the blackbox. If you have one of each your fine without the dimming module :)

Won't both dimming ports be taken up by the separate blue and white channels on the black box led?

True but you could also dim them simultaneously from one channel if looking to save some cost.
