I got a prototype enclosure too.

Is you're prototype a touchscreen? or does the new enclosure have a joystick? I use my "auxillary" monitor http://forum.reefangel.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=923 fairly often to see what's going on in the tank and timing, but it really helps to be able to toggle through screens of info with the joystick.

It actually has touch screen, accelerometer for tilt adjustment and SD card reader
The accelerometer will auto adjust the screen to whatever angle you place it, just like on your smart phone

I'd love to see this pushed ahead in the dev. People would buy a screen upgrade in a heart beat....or I would at least. The screen now is good for looking at specs at a glance but the options for larger/better screen would set RA apart from other controllers.

I still need to design an overlay for it and recode the libraries.
The supplier stopped manufacturing the screen with the driver I was testing and has gone with a new driver, so I'll need to revise the libraries and make sure that everything is working the same. I placed an order for new sample screens to create a new prototype and should be here in 3 weeks. So, this product has been moving, just very slow

It's a remote screen too that uses the same screen of your head unit, but doesn't have the accelerometer, touch screen or SD card.
It has a very simple up/down and select joystick on the side.
I just finish this prototype and need to do further testing now

Wow, that looks just like what I envisioned when I was working on the auxiliary monitor before I went with using the original RA.  I like the streamlined prototype a lot.

It doesn't have touch capability and it runs on 8bit
I'm using one with touch and 16bit.

Ah good stuff, should be a great addition to the RA.

What happened to this prototype

I decided to pick up this again.
I'm designing a new prototype board that should be ready in a few weeks.
In the mean time, I'm working on the libraries.
