TDS

Post by jsclownfish »

I recently got an RO/DI system and plan to start using it to maintain a reservoir. Has anyone linked a TDS meter or pressure sensor to the RA to monitor the RO/DI system as well as the tank. It's not really critical, but it would be handy to link it up through RA. :geek:

Atlas sells a conductivity kit, but it's pretty expensive. https://www.atlas-scientific.com/produc ... ed/ec.html Also found this...http://webpages.charter.net/tdsmeter/

Following along as I manually flush the tds creep before shooting the ro water through the Di resin. I will flip the switch when I see the ro output tds have reached below 10 ppm it gets sent through the Di and into the storage tank. Would love to teach RA to at least alert so I don't forget about and find myself wondering how many days I've left it flushing :)

Monte i have "reminders" in my code for some key things. When I update them I reset the counter, so it counts how many days since filter socks or carbon/gfo, vinegar, feeding :)

It wouldnt be too tough to add an alert.

For RO membrane flushing though, a solenoid valve and you can automate the process instead of reminding you :)
