I built my own reef-controller head unit and relay boxes. I am hoping to save some effort by strapping a few reef-angel parts to it. Before I ordered, I was hoping to verify a few things so I don't end up with parts I can't use.
Am I correct that all of the RA expansions communicate via I2C? Do they all use the same I2C address or do the different expansions have different I2C addresses?
Is the Salinity probe a K=10 type probe?
To control a some Jebao pumps/powerheads I was planning to use your Jebao cables and this PWM board http://www.adafruit.com/products/815 My understanding is that your Jebao cable has circuitry to reduce 10v input to the 5v that Jebao wants. Is that correct? Instead doubling the voltage coming from the PWM board just so the cable can cut it in half, how difficult would it be for me to remove the voltage dividing circuitry from the cable? It it accessible, or do I need to come up with a new plan?
RA parts on DIY controler
Re: RA parts on DIY controler
Yes I2C.
Each module has its own address.
Look into the Globals.h for their addresses.
You can remove one resistor to get rid of the voltage divider. Very easy.
You should be able to use K=10.
