RapidLED Onyx

Post by Civics14 »

Anyone have the Onyx and controlled by the RA+? I just ordered one of the light fixtures, I'm assuming I will need the dimming module.

Am I able to do sunrise/sunset effect?

Thanks.

As long as its controllable then you can do sunrise/sunset. You only need the dimming module if you need more dimming ports

Does RA ramp up slowly (in 1% increments) or does it jump to each percent we program it to?

If you set it to 50% then it will go immediately to 50%. If you want a sunrise/sunset simulation then you can use something like PWMSlope which ramps up and down over whatever period of time you specify.

We have the capability of doing 4095 increments from 0-100 on the dimming module or 256 increments on the built in ports.

PWMSlope - is that only for PWM dimming? Because the Onyx units are Analog from my understanding. Or is that just the label?

Cool. Thanks everyone. Just placed my order for a dimming expansion. I'm sure I'll have more questions when I get that in.
