Bad PH probe?

Post by Ismaclst »

I bought a used RA and the ph probe was left out to dry, so I purchased another one on ebay. I also bought an extension because it wasn't long enough. It worked most of the time unless I moved the wire where the BNC connector was at. I would then have to move it a little bit for it to work again. Now I'm having the same issue but I can't get my PH probe to read anything greater than 1. I even took out the extension to see if that helped, which it didn't. Could I have another bad PH probe? Do I need to recalibrate the probe again?

Yes, or you may have a voltage leak. Put the probe in a cup of tank water and see what the reading is.
