I'm sure there are a few out there.
I have 2 pc's in a different room than my router and I'm looking at getting a 5 port gigabit switch to run them off of (hardwire from the switch to the router through the wall).
I've been looking at the Netgear GS605NA ($35 at Best Buy, $20 after some Best Buy Bucks) vs the TP-LINK TL-SG105 ($20 at Amazon). I'm not sure which is better, or even the difference between the two.
Any thoughts?

Network experts - switch advice needed!
Re: Network experts - switch advice needed!
I figured I was overthinking it.
I have an old gigabit router I think I'll convert to DD-WRT and use.

some switches have more options, less power consumption, etc. however in the low end consumer models, you are not gonna have much variance. in all honesty, it's mostly a personal preference with those.

I agree. i am a communications engineer and like binder said, on the small consumer side there are not much difference.

Good. Now I don't feel so bad for preferring the TP-Link on looks alone.
I ended up converting my old router with DD-WRT. It works fine and was free.
