ATO float switch mount?

Post by lnevo »

I jut bought a couple on ebay for $15 each. They had a double for $30 but figured i'd get more flexibility out of 2 seperate...

Seems he only has the double or single with a switch right now, Im sure that will change or can contact directly. The seller was bigbear4x4bear. I searched for "float switch bracket".

I should get them by the end of the week.

Would something like this work? I like the idea of a magnet

Also, how about the PH and Temp Prob mount?

I use the avast one because I have their ATO system. I had to make a piece of acrylic to move the float switch out away from the magnet cause its so strong it can trip the float..

I've never fully trust magnets... especially since my vortech seems to always fall off when I go on vacation.

For auto top off, I'd recommend either making your own or picking up something from http://autotopoff.com/misc/

ATO float switch mount?

Post by lnevo »

My brackets came today and i was able to rig up the brackets into one. I'm not using them for typical ATO functions or i could have used a single bracket with both switches attached in opposite directions. The ATO low will be a protection in case the water level ever drops below the minimum for the pump to operate and the ATO high will be used if for some reason the pump stops operating.

My only complaint is the bracket is made to attach to like a 3 inch piece of tank!!! Some double stick foam fixed that. For most people the single bracket would be perfect and at $15 each i cant complain.

This gave me some good ideas, and I wish it was noted(maybe it was?) that I would need ph 7.0 and ph 10. I just have to figure out how I want to implement this on my Biocube
