how many float switches to plug in?

Post by bigHUN »

Im ready to place an order.
Just finished building and populating a new 120g+50g tank, and planning to get a reefangel, just for a reason its open source, and I am a linux user for a while as well :) So let me ask a question before ordering things in wrong way:
I will have at least 4 float switches: 3 in the sump (low water level turn on the AT; low water level turn off main pump; high water level turn on main pump +alarm) and one in the main display (high water level turn off main pump). Where to plug all these in?
I will have 7 pumps (main; circulating; skimmer; reactor; AT; 2 wavekakers) with timing sequence; 3+1 light with timing sequence; 2 heaters; to save on plugs I might be able to combine some together. But definitely lot of wires.
The most important I need to solve the safety (float level) switches, what all I need to plug them all?

I'm thinking you will need a special order I/O Expansion module.
Just very few of these were ever made and that's why it is not in the webstore.
It looks just like the PWM Expansion module and it will give you 6 additional inputs for your float switches.
If you are interested, PM me.
Roberto.
