Probe submersion / immersion ?

Post by joshlawless »

I'd like to mount my probes (temp, pH, salinity and ORP) in a location in my sump where they may be fully submerged when the return pumps shut all the way down. Is this okay? Obviously the temp probe can be fully submerged, but is there any portion of the other three probes that needs to be kept out of the water?

i took a small piece of styrofoam and poked a hole in it and slid my ph and salinity probes into it. this way it fluctuates based on the water level in case my sump levels drop too low. just a thought.
