Temp control with RA and fans!

Post by cosmith71 »

My temps over the last several days. The high was 78.4 degrees. AC is at 76 most of the time, but goes up to 80 on weekdays between 1400 and 1900. I have a clip-on fan over the sump and one over the tank for cooling. High temp on the chart is 78.4. Temps here have been 95-100 degrees daily. The low part of the chart was a stormy night and the heater kicked on.

I have very similar results in my 90 Gallon tank. I put 2 120v AC fans in the hood of my tank during initial setup a few years back. They are mounted on the front left and front right of the hood angled at the center of the tank. I could not be happier with the heating and cooling effects of my tank, the fans keeps a 2 degree swing all summer, 79 to 81. In the winter I get 77 to 79 with a 150W heater.
