Out of nowhere my RA started randomly and violently clicking power on and off to one of the modules. Considering I just got a replacement Relay Expansion and the expansion hub is only a few weeks old, theyre not the problem.
I'm about done with RA.
Now, after the power flashes, all 3 of my ballasts are blown, and its going to cost me $180 to fix it.
So, what could have been the problem?
RA ruined my ATI fixture

Re: RA ruined my ATI fixture
Did you use the new USB cable that came with the new hub?
This seems to be a bad connection somewhere.
Could it be in the USB port in the main box?

That could be it.rimai wrote:Did you use the new USB cable that came with the new hub?

I used the new USB cord.
I have a another RA set up, and I can switch the relay boxes to see if that's causing it.
It's not as crazy as it was, but it is still randomly cycling power, and it now i have random dimming flashes.
Re: RA ruined my ATI fixture
Im starting to notice that I only get the power blinking when my daylights are on.rimai wrote:Did you use the new USB cable that came with the new hub?

Do you think there is too much power getting pulled thru the relay expansion?
Not sure what's happening with the dimming blinking, but it might explain the power cycles
Re: RA ruined my ATI fixture
Whenever there is a bus lock, the dimming channel may do that.

So a bus lock is causing the power cycles?rimai wrote:Whenever there is a bus lock, the dimming channel may do that.
Re: RA ruined my ATI fixture
So what could be causing the bus lock I wonder? Most everything is new.rimai wrote:That's what I'm thinking.
Except the water level sensor.
I'll unplug it tonight and see how it acts tomorrow
