Wifi issue - all LED blinking

Post by HodagReef »

I need help troubleshooting my Wifi attachment. It was working and then it stopped and all the lights are blinking. I tried to the setup tool and and the attachment "sees" my router, by it does not connect to the internet. I try to update the firmware and I get an error (not able to connect to the internet). So I try you manually set up the attachment with Tera Term, but it does not connect. Any suggestions?

Using Tera Term and you ping your gateway address? If so it is communicating with your router.

Unfortunately I am on a Mac... However, in my experience this happens if the baud rate is not set properly in Terra Term? What is your baud rate set at (in Terra Term)? The two that work for me are 9600 (the firmware default) or 57600. Have you tried both of these baud rates?

I was able to use Tera Term to set my baud rate at 57600 and follow the rest of the Wifi manual set-up, but all my LED are flashing.
So I try the utility set again some maybe to note: when I look at my code my SSid=WiFly-GSX-4a??? This is not what I enter? I believe it is the RA Wifi attachment SSid.

Anybody have suggestion what else to do or is my attachment not working.

Can you connect with terra term, enter command mode and post the results of 'get everything'. I can take a look and see if I can help.

Thanks LeoD, I was able to connect last night. Just need to have the cable connect before opening the program. I will send a copy of 'get everthing' when I get home later tonight.

I don't think it works with a space nor the apostrophe. Try using a ssid without them

I was wondering the same about the apostrophe. Also it looks like you updated the firmware when you did ftp u... If so you will need to run the script in this thread http://forum.reefangel.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4601

Ok I removed the ' in the SSID and ran the Macro fix in Tera Term; but the lights are blinking blue. Here is the code Marco that was config to my Wifi:
CMD

<4.41> set c s 1420
AOK
<4.41> save
Storing in config
<4.41> save user

<4.41> reboot
*Reboot*
Any thoughts? Should I run Wifi utility? I thought you run the macro, you don't need to use the wifi utility anymore. It should be already configured.
