Controller heater temp issue
Controller heater temp issue
Controller is set to turn heater on at 77° and off at 78° but it actually turns on at 79.1° and off at 79.9° according to temp sensor 1 (no other temp sensors plugged in). I dont mind the delta between the two but it seemed odd that the controller and sensor were off by a degree. Is this normal behavior? Is it something I can correct?
Re: Controller heater temp issue
Looking at the code, it shows 79° and 80° but that isnt what is displayed on the actual controller when you go into the temp menu. Can that not be adjusted on the fly?

Re: Controller heater temp issue
You're set to go on between 79 and 80... not 77 and 78...
ReefAngel.StandardHeater( Port2,790,800 );
try:
ReefAngel.StandardHeater( Port2,770,780 );
ReefAngel.StandardHeater( Port2,790,800 );
try:
ReefAngel.StandardHeater( Port2,770,780 );
Re: Controller heater temp issue
If you want to set it on the fly, you need to generate a code with internal memory and not hard coded.
Roberto.
Re: Controller heater temp issue
In which case
ReefAngel.StandardHeater(Port2);
ReefAngel.StandardHeater(Port2);
Re: Controller heater temp issue
Thanks; I didn't realize it had to be internal memory when you made adjustments from the controller, I thought that was only through the portal/app.
