This is where I’m at
To be able to connect remotely to your controller from outside your wifi network, you will need to setup port forwarding on your router. The TCP port you need to forward to your wifi attachment is port 2000.
Most recent routers have UPnP capability. This utility will try to setup port forwarding automatically on any UPnP capable router that is compatible with the UPnPLib Java.
If the utility is successful on setting up port forwarding on your router, you will get a message below
http://forum.reefangel.com/download/file.php?id=343

Mine stays trying to connect to you router

Now when I'm trying to upload things into my RA+ on wizard no ports are showing up, but it is saying plugin found and connected even though nothing is plugged in. please someone help me

You will need to setup port forwarding on your router manually.
Is the USB programming cable connected to the PC?
The plugin the software we use to interface the USB programming cable to the web wizard.
If it says plugin found and connected, it means the plugin is running on your computer and is connected to the web wizard so you can use the USB programming cable on a web application running on a browser.
Web applications do not have direct access to peripherals connected to the computer for security reasons. So, a plugin application needs to the used to create that bridge interface.

Ok I found out what was going on and corrected the issue with Wizard. Now how do I port forwarding on my router manually? I have a Apple AirPort Extreme router.

The wifi utility will never show that port forward is setup even if you do it manually.
If you already done manually and you got green blinking on the wifi attachment, you are all set.

Yeap, as long as the code of your controller has the wifi attachment enabled, you should be good.

That means your port forwarding is probably not correct.
Check port 2000 here:
https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
http://canyouseeme.org/
If it says open, your port forwarding is working.

It said it is closed. So I’ll go back through everything and do it again. Is port 2000 the normal one used?

Are you sure you don't have another router from your internet provider?

100% sure I have a Apple AirPort Extreme router with a Motorola surfboard modem. That is everything other than the wire going to it.

This attachment you sent shows your wifi attachment using ip address 192.168.0.101 and not 10.1.0.2.

Ok now we are getting somewhere. I screen shared with apple i had one thing wrong with the port forwarding. now when i check it says port 2000 is open. When I go to the portal now this is what it shows
Reef Angel wifi address:
My reefangel id: Swampfox
Connection Status:Unreachable Address

Last Update:
1/11/2018, 3:33:00 AM
Displaying data from:
Webbanner database

I also went to the RA app and it says Cloud Server Connecting but it never connects. So i cannot get anything on the portal nor the app. I checked just to verify that the wifi attachment was connected and it is no blue lights, and the green light is blinking. what is the next thing i need to do to get everything working? Thank you

Reserve the IP first by inside your Apple router. You have to know the mac address of the wifi attachment to be able to make a reservation. Then go to the bottom of the same screen in the router software and make a new entry and set the ports to whatever IP you reserved for the wifi module.
I have the same router. It will reboot the Apple router when you are done. Go to the Apple site if you are not sure how to do this. They have very good instructions , you just have to find them ;-)

yes/no the port forwarding is working at lest the port is open, but I cannot connect to RA app nor the portal. The portal says Connection Status Unreachable Address.

Update the RA app I can control but it never fully connects to the cloud server. It just connecting beside cloud server. I can change things in the main box, but the first time it says Reef Controller Timed out when I press it again it changes from on, off, or auto. The portal still says connection status unreachable address. So there is progress being made lol.

There may be a bug in the portal. Let me double check.
Your wifi address should be showing there.

No, I don't think there is a bug.
I think it is because you bought an old piece of equipment that needs to be updated.
You have to update it following this thread: http://forum.reefangel.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4601

Also, make sure you did not enable the portal key on your portal settings. Better to not induce more things that can make this not work.

My bad.
I should have checked this before posting.
Your wifi attachment is actually working fine and updated.
The server is getting data.
It is not updating it because you probably enabled the portal key and your code doesn't have it.
Thus, it is simply disregarding it.
Make sure to not enable the portal key on your portal settings.
