Post by riggeek »

I have about a week home before I have to head out again.

Any advice for the upgrade to make things go smoother?

Thanks

Use the web wizard. It should be pretty straight forward.

Few questions

How do you swap from PWM to analog 0-10v for the on board analogs.

The on board analogs if i am looking correctly we need to used a modular jack on a Ethernet cable and just cut the other end off and use the wires?

The on board alarm connection can on just wire the buzzer from the RA+ straight to the alarm connection?

Thanks

Inside the head unit, you will have jumpers just like the dimming expansion module.
One for each of the 4 channels. Correct. Just cut an ethernet cable.
The alarm is just another input channel. Just like the ATO ports.
You can turn buzzer on in your code if that input is tripped. It is not hard wired or hard coded.

I like having the little pezio alarm. that is driven off of my analogs on the RA+ But would like to use the all four analogs to drive my lights and jeabo wave pumps. In the past there was a way to make a input drive like a output to get a audible alarm to sound like the little pezio alarm. Any way to do this on the RA*?

Is the default PWM?
I see where the pins are, but there are not jumpers.

Yes, no jumper means 0-10PWM.
To change, you will have to get them on your local electronic store. They don't come populated.
I'll have the new batch come with them, but for this batch, they came without.

Next question is on the RA+ thru the portal. I could have the system send email for problems ie alarm ext.
how do set this up now.

Is the old system now off line for me or is it still used?

Every seems to be working thru the Uapp.

But portal still shows Connection Status: Unreachable Address

Is there still something to set up there?

I would use only uapp since it is cloud connected.
If you want to use the portal, you will need to setup port forwarding on your router

Does the Uapp have a way to do the portal setting to forward the alarms to email?

Also the display seems to go to sleep and does not want to wake up is the some way to wake it up besides cycling power?

Just set up the alerts in the portal.
It will work.
Your controller sends data to the portal every 5 minutes.
That's what populates the charts and banners and also triggers the email alerts.
This is independent of the portal being able to connect to your controller or not.
Traffic only gets blocked by your router when the portal tries to access the controller, but it does allow for your controller to send data to portal just fine.

I was able to add one.
Do you see the one I created for you?
Can you try again and make sure you don't use < or > signs anywhere in the name or description.
It may get confused.
If it still doesn't work, try another browser.

I had a problem with buss faults all night. So now i have the only things plugged into the controller are the relay box, and the water level sensor. I redone the code removed the salinity sensor. and uploaded it. I have remove the usb hub, and the salinity sensor.

I have tried 2 different computers, and 2 different web browser to add info to the portal. it still does not show up on my end. I did see the test one you made, but after i tried to load one more they disappeared. when the buss fault happened in the night i did to a alarm thou.

The Buss fault made it about 2 hours and came back.
it came back on again after about 4 hours.
I swapped usb cables for the relay and water level. They are Plugged straight into the RA*.
touch screen was unresponsive, and the led light on the RA* was blinking red/green. Was able to do a reboot from the Uapp. I leave in a few days and really need to get this figured out.

This time the screen would had went to sleep and would not turn on. Is there a way to get the screen to turn back on short of a power cycle?

Just as curiosity. Can you unplug the USB cable of the relay box and power it without being connected to RA?
What color is the logo?

Turned off the power switch on the relay box.
unplugged the usb from the relay box on the relay box side.
Turned the power on on the relay box.
the Angel logo was blink on and off with a white color.

When it does this it also seems to lock me out of the touch screen. but can reboot from the Uapp.

I still cannot update the portal email alarms as well. In the box that says notifications it just has a spinning icon but nothing ever shows up.

Ok, I think you got the wrong relay box.
Some of the boxes that we shipped out were mistakenly shipped with the RANet module inside.
So, I can offer you a RANet radio so you can use this relay box wirelessly or I can swap out yours for a regular box.
PM me for details.
I'll pm you a screenshot of what I get for alerts.
