Skimmer Shorted - Lost outlets

Post by rrasco »

My skimmer appears to have shorted resulting in the loss of outlets 1, 2 and 3. The equipment on ports 1 and 3 is okay, but the outlets are dead, along with outlet 2 where the skimmer was plugged in. The other outlets were operating fine but I took the box off the wall for inspection. What I assume to be a reset button/fuse on the bottom didn't do anything.

A few questions:

1. Am I correct to assume these traces are blown out due to the skimmer failure?
2. Is the current relay expansion a direct replacement for this outlet box? (http://www.reefangel.com/QuickViewUnive ... nsion.html)

Found them. Thanks.

Is there any way to beef up the protection on these in case something shorts again in the future?
