Hi all, I just got my RA and WIFI connection about 2 weeks ago and am trying to get the WIFI to relay information to Portal (and Android ap) I have set up the WIFI using the WIFI attachment program that came with RA Arduino software. I have set up my RA using the code wizard program.
My Wifi is NOT blinking blue. It is only a slow flashing green UNLESS I "Connect Reef Angel to browser" using the steps in the WIFI set up manual, then it will blink orange quick and the information is visible on the browser (But it is not interactive)
I, for the life of me cannot get the RA+Wifi to connect with Portal or android ap
I get this from Portal:
Reef Angel wifi address: 66.41.25.174:2000 (update)
My reefangelid:Manycolors
Connection Status: Unreachable Address
Last Update:Never
Displaying data from:Unavailable
And Time out Error 15 from the android application.
The WIFI module was updated today with latest version of software using the Wifi attachment set up
Thanks
Another WIFI issue
Re: Another WIFI issue
Do you have port forwarding enabled in your router? You would forward port 2000 to the ip address of your Reefangel wifi module..
You can use this to check

Re: Another WIFI issue
I checked it and it is showing that it is going to 80. So not 2000.
I got into my Router and enables port forwarding.
To forward, I need to fill in the following:
Service type (Pick one): TCP, UDP, or TCP/UDP
Server IP address:
Starting port:
Ending port:

Re: Another WIFI issue
Service type : Both
Server IP Address: Whatever your reefangel module is
Starting port: I would try starting port of 2000 and ending port of 2000.. My router only gives me one choice of ports. Your probably going to have to experiment here..

Thanks for the great and timely help. I now have a working Wifi unit, and have gotten my reefangel dialed in!
