How did you setup your wifi attachment?
Did you use wifi utility that came with the Reef Angel Installer?

You got the wrong host address then.
Make sure you are sending data to www.reefangel.com

Where does that need to go? on the RA or the ethernet board? I simply copied Drew's code and changed the ip and ports that I was using.

I think it was the security setting on the portal. I turned it off and now I get info on the banner.

Yep that was your problem. I don't use security option. You're set up.

That's actually not related to Drew's code for the Ethernet board.
If you want to use the Portal key, your RA code should look like this:

Code: Select all

ReefAngel.Portal("username","key");
The key must match on your code and portal.

yeah sorry...i should have been clearer ...that was topjimmy's issue because I don't use security and it's not in the code :lol:

Anyone can add that and use security if they want :)

So, to clarify...add what Roberto said to the ethernet code and you CAN use security...I just don't :oops:

No... not to the Ethernet code... The Ethernet code is good as it is :) just like you tested and posted.
What needs to be changed is the RA code.
