Can anyone post a video or pic of what it looks like when you access the RA from your computer or android device?

look at the Android Reef Angel Status thread. I have posted lots of pictures and a video or two of the app in action. some may be a little old, but the concept has remained the same.

The portal can be accessed right now.
Logout from the forum and you will see a sample of how it would look like.

I apologize for my very basic requests, because the more I type these posts the more I feel like an idiot. So I thank you for bearing with me as I put the pieces together on how I can wirelessly utilize the RA on a daily basis. I have a couple more questions on the tech compatability side.

1) So the Portal is where you go to access your RA? I would be able to turn things on/off here?

2) I will be accessing from a work computer, if I am currenly pulling up the portal does that mean I won't have any issues accessing my personal RA? (i'm thinking about security or something preventing me)

3) Is there any way I can check my droid to make sure there aren't security blocks preventing me from accessing the RA? (i use a droid and it is a work phone so I don't have as much control as a personal phone)

4) Is there anything I need to verify on my router to make sure that it will work with the RA Wifi attachement?

Not today. I've been slowly building my own html frontend where i can put a dashboard, my video feed, and my customized controls.

I think the problem we have is that there are several proprietary stream applications.
Is there such a thing as universal stream player?

No, but you could easily make a field to take a URL and then have an iframe to encapsulate the frame on the portal. I think :)

I know my web cam doesn't allow easy video streaming, but it does have an easy URL for a screenshot. I would use something like that.

What I setup on my own web page is to use that screenshot with some javascript to refresh every 2 seconds, so it seems like I have a live video feed :) It actually works quite well, except I haven't added the code to stop/start the video :)

I'm going to set it now, but the default 0 made a big frame pop up with a 404 error.

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Ok, added it, and it looks good. Anyway to make the height/width adjustable? I'm going to try some things on my end to make it fit better, but overall nice improvement :)

Cool, so I'm using my php wrapper on my static image link. I've set the size to fit the iframe and centered and all..

Very nice... Your slowly taking away my reasons for doing my own cool dashboard :) Actually, I still have reasons, but this is very cool. And if it had been there already, I may not have started this project of mine..

When I first tried to test... I refreshed the portal page, there was a big ugly frame with a 404 error in it. When I went to portal settings the default link for the webcam was set to 0.

Weird... It should have been blank and not zero.
Let's wait for more users and see if anyone else complains.
