RA Visuals
Re: RA Visuals
Can't get it to work. I think it has to do with the address. I think I need a page on the camera that I don't know the name of.
Here's what the manual says:
For Java mode: http://camera_ip_address/tvjview.htm
For ActiveX mode: http://camera_ip_address/tvaview.htm
Either of these compatable?

Re: RA Visuals

Looking at your other post:

I wish my camera had a streaming view without buttons like yours

RA Visuals
Depends on your browser? Java *should* be x-platform...
Is it a dlink..for embedding you may have to use the static image.

Re: RA Visuals
OK, got it Roberto. I thought I had tried that. It's working. However, the image is a little too big and has scroll bars. Any way to fix that?
Thanks again. This is awesome!

Re: RA Visuals
Yeah, mine is dlink and actually uses the same java applet as cosmith71....
I wonder if all cameras can use this applet...
Code: Select all
<applet name="cvcs" codeBase="http://cosmith71.no-ip.net:8080" archive="aplug.jar" code="aplug.class" width=640 height=480>
<param name="RemotePort" value=8080>
<param name="Timeout" value=5000>
<param name="RotateAngle" value=0>
<param name="PreviewFrameRate" value=2>
<param name="Algorithm" value=2>
<param name="DeviceSerialNo" value="">
</applet>
Roberto.
Re: RA Visuals
Mine isn't a dlink, it's a TrendNet. Would be nice if it's universal.
RA Visuals
For the dlink i have a html wrapper that loads the static image and refreshes every 2 seconds. I can share the code if anyone needs it, but you need a place to host it..
Re: RA Visuals
You might as well use the java applet in your wrapper instead of 2sec refresh...
Roberto.
RA Visuals
The java applet doesnt work on ios nor through my office proxy
This one does both.

See what you did? From suggestion to reality in a few hours.kirkwood wrote:Can an IP video camera be integrated into the Portal?

RA Visuals
Roberto, i think the default portal page is getting that 404 in the webcam frame...unless its a cache issue..
Re: RA Visuals
Thought I had replied...
Portal is working fine for me.
Had to do some playing around with the size to get rid of the scroll bars. I ended up at 654x504 for 640x480 (supposedly) image. Any less on either number and I get both scroll bars. I'm guessing it adjusts the numbers you put in for aspect?

Re: RA Visuals
Yeah, I tried on my ipad and it's fine. My IE at work still shows the 404, but whatever..stupid internal proxies

Re: RA Visuals

Re: RA Visuals
This particular camera doesn't have a pan function on it. It has a digital zoom, but I haven't really used it.
I used a flexible suction mount.

Re: RA Visuals
I'm looking at the D-Link DCS-900 Web Cam that lnevo said he is using.
I wanted to know a good, preferably free dynamic DNS service.
I think someone mentioned No-IP.com

Re: RA Visuals
Yes, no-ip.com is a good, free dynamic dns service. I use it along with dyn.com (DynDns) but they are making it more difficult for the "free accounts" to exist. I would use no-ip.com if it were me.Sacohen wrote:I'm looking at the D-Link DCS-900 Web Cam that lnevo said he is using.
