IP address issues

Post by pyroboy1der »

I've had my RA set up for a little over a year and a half and in the last few month I've noticed an issue when trying to use the portal.

I have Dyndns set up to forward on to my RA so I can access it on my phone etc. For the last few months whenever I type in my Dyn address it would get changed to my regular IP after a few hours. This would be just fine except occasionally my IP will change (hence using Dyn) and about 50%of the time it adds an extra ":g" (the g from the end of .org in my dyn address) between the IP and the Port (EX: 192.168.1.1:g:2000)

What's going on here? For over a year I had no problems with Dyn and now this shows up just a few months ago.

You have to log in monthly now (no client..actual login) or pay them t upgrade..not sure that explains the behavior but it is something that changed in the past few months...

Are you talking about logging in here on the portal or onto the dyn server? I regularly log onto the portal here, probably more than once a week. As for dyn none of my other devices have an issue with it. Also, It seems to have started doing it with my regular IP as well (repeating the last digit of my ip instead of the "g")

Any ideas?

I have two ports set up to forward and it happens with both.

Yes, but are they 2 digits or 4 digits?
If 2 digits, try using :0080 for example and see if that works.
