Is it not connecting?
Are you getting an IP address?
Did you assign a static IP address?

If you are getting an IP address, then you shouldn't have to worry about anything.

I guess I don't understand your initial problem. It doesn't appear that you stated an actual error.

What are you unable to do?
Are you able to browse to the controller's web page? (http://YOURIP:2000/wifi)

Ok. That's good to know. Can you connect to your controller outside of your network using one of the smartphone apps? If not, then your router is probably not allowing the connection to your controller.

Click on the update link.
Erase the Reef Angel Wifi Address, leaving it blank.
Click Save
Wait 5min
It should populate by itself next time the controller sends data.

You need to setup port forwarding on your router then.

Here is the screenshot of my router setting. it is showing UPnP Active.

I Have activated port forwarding via UPnP Wizard.

Moreover i am getting confused between three IP Address.

one is assigned to my wifi attachment is 192.168.1.5 other one is 10.1.10.40 which is showing in the screen shot & the third one is my external IP.

Have you set port forwarding in your router correctly? There are a number of websites that can test your open port such as http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

Also looking at the screen shot, are you sure that the wifi unit (WiFLY-GSX) does have the ip address 10.1.10.40?

I would have expected it to have been allocated an address in the range 192.168.1.?

Can you ping 10.1.10.40 if the RA wifi unit is unplugged, that would be a way to see if the ip address is correct.

Just a couple of thoughts. :?

hi Steve,

it looks like the forwarding is correct as per what i am seeing. the IP of my reef angel wifi attachment is 192.168.1.5.

I am getting reply from 192.168.1.5 but when i am pinging 10.1.10.40 it is showing destination host unreachable.

If your RA wifi is 192.168.1.5, then the port forwarding is wrong or you may have 2 routers in your network.

RA does not impose which ip address it will accept.
Your router gives out ip addresses.
It seems your 1st router is giving the RA wifi the ip address 192.168.1.5.
Your 1st router WAN ip address is probably 10.1.10.40, which is an ip address that your 2nd router is giving out to the 1st router. Then, your 2nd router WAN ip address is whatever is dynamicaly assigned to you by your ISP.
If this is correct and that's the way your network is laid out, you will need to setup port forwarding on both of your routers to make this work.
The 2nd router needs to forward all TCP traffic incoming on port 2000 from your WAN ip address that was assigned from your ISP to 10.1.10.40, then you need to setup the 1st router to forward everything coming on port 2000 from the 2nd router to RA wifi address, which is 192.168.1.5

but i have only one router assigned to my network.

Try this then:
Remove the UPnP entry from the router and manually set the port forwarding using port 2000 and ip address 192.168.1.5

Yes, we already know that your wifi is using 192.168.1.5
Does the WAN ip of the router show the same ip address that was assigned to you by your ISP?
Your WAN ip should match to what this website says it is http://www.whatismyip.com

It doesn't matter. It is just a label for you to know what it means. You can use Reef Angel or Reef Angel Wifi or any other name you prefer.

For that one, you will need to reserve the ip address on your router so that the router always gives the same ip address to the wifi attachment.
