Haven't been able to locate an answer for this, but do you need to configure the jumpers on the RA+ board the same way you do with the standard board when using and expansion relay? I'm assuming yes, but I had some odd things happen when I tried out the new board yesterday and wanted to make sure this wasn't part of the issue. Also do I need to wipe the wifi adapter and program it again?
Thanks,
Mike
RA+ Upgrade and Relay Expansion
Re: RA+ Upgrade and Relay Expansion
Yes, you need the jumpers.
No, you don't need to do anything to the wifi.

Re: RA+ Upgrade and Relay Expansion
Thanks Roberto. I'll go through the library thread and see if i can't figure out what the issue is before posting my code. I kind of recall seeing that the way to reference expansion relays changed. I also just noticed that there is a menu in the arduino app where I need to select the RA+ controller.
Re: RA+ Upgrade and Relay Expansion
Roberto,
Should I have " Reef Angel Controller w/ optiboot" or "Reef Angel Plus" selected? It will load if I am using w/optiboot, but when I select RA+ I get timeout errors:

Re: RA+ Upgrade and Relay Expansion
Are you sure it is loading with RA w/ optiboot?
It should be RA+.
You are also using an older version of the avrdude.
Please download the latest Reef Angel Installer.

Re: RA+ Upgrade and Relay Expansion
OK I'm officially a dope. I had the cable plugged incorrectly to the controller. As many times as I've done that, you would think it would be the first thing that I'd check. Lights seemed to working fine but my ato and heater didn't seem to be work so I went back to the old board until I have more time troubleshoot.
