Something new to come???

Post by Sacohen »

I was looking in the change log for the new library and I noticed...

"Added Humidity expansion"

Is this something new coming?

I noticed a post somewhere (can't find it now) about a couple of people asking for a humidity sensor. If I recall correctly, Roberto made a couple up maybe?

:)
I got something being worked out.
I already got almost 2 weeks of data from the test module I have.

The big dip you see is when I was moving from inside my canopy to outside.
There is probably 10% of difference from inside and out of the canopy.
You can also see that during the day, the humidity drops by about 10% too compared to during the night.

Strange, you would think it would be more humid during the day when the lights are on.

You don't live here in CA (Bay area)... lol
It's very dry during the day and when it cools down at night is when we get the breeze and the offshore winds bring the moist :)
Typically, we start the day foggy and by 10pm, it clears out and starts to dry out... Very bad for people with allergies like my wife :( She gets miserable at times.

Yeah. Total opposite in South FL.
Starts out a little humid and get worse during the day.
In the summer you can set you watch by the afternoon rainstorm.
By 2-3pm all the humidity that was soaked up during the day lets lose and we have some pretty bad rain storms every day.

Hi,

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how is a humidity sensor useful to an aquarium?

If you have a very large system, you might want to activate HVAC equipment like an exhaust fan if the humidity in your fish room gets to a certain point. Also if you have equipment under your stand maybe you have a ventilation fan you can turn on at a certain humidity level..
