Wifi problem

Post by chridijon »

I have my wifi setup and it updates my signature just fine, however if I am not on my network wifi at my house I can't get the http address to load up on anything, like my phone or laptop. I downloaded the android app, thanx curt :-), and it worked great at my house, but on my way to work it wouldn't load up any of the temps or pH, it did give me an error 13 message, if that helps. The only way I can see what is going on with the controller is to go to this website and look at one of my own posts.

I do admit that's a great way to make sure people come back to the website, Roberto :-D LOL

I am using http://192.***.*.*:2000/wifi when I try to check it out on a web browser. And how do I open the 2000 port on my router?

that is your internal ip address only. What router model do you have?
You can follow this guide to open the port:
http://portforward.com/

Then you can go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ to get your external ip address. Most of us use dyndns.org to create a "domain" name instead of having to use the ip address.

Error 13 is a connection error meaning that it could not connect to the host...most likely a port forwarding error or connection refused error.

I'm gonna work on cleaning up the error displaying to make it easier for you to find the error.
