Wifi help

Post by Scott B »

I just got my RA yesterday and have been trying to hook the wifi attachment to it. The wifi attachment will not connect to my network, both the green and blue lights are flashing. It says unable to setup port forwarding... Am i doing something wrong?

you don't have to have port forwarding enabled or setup for the wifi to work. port forwarding is needed if you are outside of your network. have you used the wifi setup utility?

if the utility doesn't work for you, then you will most likely have to setup the module manually using teraterm. maybe Roberto has some other ideas or comments about the utility.

Make sure you are using WPA2-PSK with AES encryption.
Also, the passphrase and SSID are case sensitive.

Sorry, but i am computer illiterate, lol. I probably shouldnt have purchased this controller with such little computer knowledge. Any way, im not sure about my router... it says WPA WPA2 Personal. I did enter the ssid and key/password exactly as it appears. And i am not sure what or how to download "tera term"

Does the ssid or passphrase have a space?
I've seen where it was an issue in the past.
Also, if possible, try changing your router to WPA2 Personal with AES encrytion. TKIP encryption is only supported if you use WPA1.

Try typing 192.168.0.1 in your web address bar. With Most routers this brings you to the settings

Not all routers offer UPnp for port forwarding.
Is your module still showing blue led?
