WIFI set up issue

Post by Marvollo »

I have wifi set up for a month or so and it worked well. Then i had to reset my router and it stopped working. I tried to use the wifi set up utility but if shows all false information and an incorrect ip address. I have been trying to research this all morning but I am overwhelmed, I am new to all of this. I don't know if a firmware update went through at some point. I reset it back to factory several times as well.

Don't update the firmware.
You are fine the way it is.
I'm thinking that you may be typing either the SSID or pass wrong.
They are case sensitive.
Can you double check?

Did you change the router or simply restarted?
Have you changed the security scheme of the router?

I have restarted my router and modem several times. The only changes I have made are adding virtual servers for gaming. all of my other devices have connected to my wifi without any issues.

If the SSID and Pass are correct, the only other thing that would cause authentication errors is the security of your router.
Make sure you have WPA2-Personal with AES encryption.
