WIFI strange behavior....
WIFI strange behavior....
So that means your ra is on the network sending data outgoing. Thats good but it confirms that your port forwarding is not setup properly and i believe its because your ra address has changed ip. You need to configure a dhcp reservation in your router for it or configure the wifi module with a static ip
Re: WIFI strange behavior....
I reserved a static IP related to the MAC address out of the DHCP range. New address of the RA is 192.168.2.95. I connect WIFI module to WIFI_UTILITY and I have verified that the new address is 192.168.2.95:2000.
But the situation remain the same ... i can't connect to internal web server and iphone app don't work.

Re: WIFI strange behavior....
I get this too. Try unplug the Wifi attachment and plug it in again.
Re: WIFI strange behavior....
I have try million times ...
Re: WIFI strange behavior....
I'm starting to think that your cable may be bad.
Can you take photos of both ends?
Do you have a multimeter to check for continuity?
When you connect to http://192.168.2.95:2000, does the wifi attachment blink the orange leds?
Orange represents data being transfered.

Re: WIFI strange behavior....
Yes i have a multimeter, what should I check? Tomorrow i post a picture of the cable (the tank is in my office).
Re: WIFI strange behavior....
Disconnect both ends and check if the cable is not broken in the middle by checking continuity on both ends
Roberto.
Re: WIFI strange behavior....
I try continuity on both cable, it's all ok. Every color on one side correspond exactly on the color on the other. This is the photo of the cable:

Re: WIFI strange behavior....
It is not your cable then.
The only thing I can think of is the router, but it shouldn't be blocking traffic by default.

Re: WIFI strange behavior....
no ... i have many printer and net device ... that allow connection by web interface and all works fine ..., all the router parameter are "standard". The router is a SONICWALL TZ100.
Re: WIFI strange behavior....
it may depend on some parameters in the access point configuration?
My settings are:
Country code: IT
Radio mode: 2,4 ghz 802.11.n/g/b mixed
Radio band: auto
Primary channel: auto
Secondary channel: auto
Security: WPA2 - AUTO - PSK
Cipher type: AES
Group key update: By Timeout
Interval (sec): 86400
In the list of the connected device i see the RA wifi module:
n MAC AID SIGNAL SPEED TIMEOUT
2. 00:06:66:21:E1:2C Authenticated Associated 2 39% 24 Mbps 300s

Re: WIFI strange behavior....
I don't think so.
Can you ping the wifi attachment?
When you try to connect with browser, does the orange LED in the wifi attachment blink?

Re: WIFI strange behavior....
no i can't ping it. No orange led don't blink, it blink something ... i think when RA send data to the portal.
Re: WIFI strange behavior....
Something news ... ! Now RA it's attainable from web browser, i can view the /wifi page and i can use all function (work great). But it continues to be inaccassibile from the outside and from the iPad/iphone app ...
I don't make any changes to the network or wifi module configuration ... it just works now ....

Re: WIFI strange behavior....
To be able to connect outside your wifi network, you will need to setup port forwarding in your router.
