BRS ph Probe compatability

Post by kirkwood »

I am wondering if the BRS lab grade probe is compatible with the Reef Angel.

I contacted BRS about the probes compatability with the RA and this is what they told me - "...assuming it uses the same standard BNC connector and technology as every other probe, then yes it certainly will. "

Yes, it should be fine. I've used the pinpoint and right now the apex lab grade on mine.

as you can see from my signature, my PH probe is completely wack. At this point I'm not even sure if its worth monitoring. I don't run a CAL reactor so I don't have too much potential for the ph swing unless my ALK doser got left on for hours. In that sense I'd benefit more from having my ALK doser time out after 20 minutes.

I'm using a BRS probe without any problems. Have you calibrated the probe? That actually looks like stray voltage to me or possibly even a bad probe. Does the value fluctuate at all or does it always read the same? Put the probe in a separate cup of tank water not connected to your system and see if the that reads accurate.
