RANet Add-On
Hi Everyone,
Today, I'd like to present you with the module that will enable us to turn our Reef Angel Plus controllers into wireless capable controllers that communicate on the Zigbee standards. With this add-on module, you will be able to communicate to any of our future line of wireless expansion modules and be able to receive updates or control them wireless.
I named our Reef Angel wireless network as RANet.
Keep tuned for the release of our RANet expansion modules in the very near future.
If you are interested in getting one of these before they hit the market, please PM me.

Re: RaNet Add-On
Will there be a RA board we can upgrade to or do we have to buy the whole system again? How about existing expansions?

Re: RaNet Add-On
This is an add-on board to your RA plus
Wired modules work just the same as before.
You are simply adding the ability to communicate wireless to RANet ready modules.

What are some of the RaNet Wireless modules to be expected?

How about a RaNet controlled wireless automatic RO membrane flusher? To flush the RO membrane automatically every day.

I like that...i was going to do that with some solenoids once I get my ro/di plumbed with my reservoir.cosmith71 wrote:What's the range?rimai wrote:You tell me

Wireless 5-up (or more) LDD driver as you've already teased...
How about Wireless Auto Feeder

Re: RANet Add-On
I was going to do it this weekend.
I've had the solenoids for a couple of months, and I have an order of parts and stuff arriving tomorrow.

I can help with the driver portion of the LDD's on eagle. I've actually been playing around with some of the expansion modules to see how many I could fit on the largest PCB. But if its cost effective I can do the PCB size for the RA+ and see how many I can fit (LDD-L/LDD-H)....maybe even throw in the PCA9685 to control them.

This first prototype has 3 channels configurable to run from 350mA to 1000mA adjustable with a potentiometer.
Here is how they will look like: I just got the pcb boards today and I'm testing them right now.
I can tell that they perform really well all the way to down 1%
The next step is plug in the RANet module to control it wireless and change the libs to support it.
Hopefully I'll have a youtube this weekend.

Nice....I can fit 6 LDD-L's or 3 LDD-H's on the expansion PCB layouts. But if you have it already going....lol

Here is the Quad CAT4101 Driver I came up with....RSET is set for 1000mA but can be turned down using the trimpots.

Is there a limit to the number of wireless modules that can be added?

I've read you can get to 1000, but I sent an email to the manufacturer to confirm.

Do you just have prototypes at this point or production models ready for sale?

I was testing the LM3414.
The A6211 that you mentioned seems very similar.
