There dip switches on the side of the RANet so you fill them to be relay expansion 1 or 2.
I may be wrong, but you are limited to the same # of relay expansions as normal, which is 8.

You can have 8 total expansion boxes. Mix/match of wired or wireless.
The wireless boxes have a dip switch on the side that you can use to set just like the expansion relay module.

I have been reading on this sight for long enough to know that there are several people that are usually not wrong. :geek: :ugeek:

Thank you for all your help.
Roberto, too.

I believe you need to PM Roberto. He has some in, but has not put them in the store yet.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago, but have not hooked it up because I'm setting it up for my 90 gallon upgrade that I just started.

Any discussion of a remote temp probe? Would be great for keeping an eye on heater malfunction in the qt/frag tanks .

Or a remote Salinity probe for a mixing station. Also the ability to have 2 Salinity probes.

The remote relay and dimming expansion are the only things available right now.
I have the relay and it works great.

Hmmm..I wish RA made it more 'elegant' to control multiple tanks.

I have a RANet wireless relay box and wireless dimming module. Both are not working now. I have a few items connected to the wireless relay box. Since the box does not communicate and sync with the main head unit, can it be connected to the main unit through an expansion hub, which is in turn connected to the 1st non wireless relay box? I dont think the relay expansion module will work as it only has a SVGA connector. The wireless relay box on the other hand only has a micro usb connector. I need to have control over the wireless relay box. Can the same be applied to the wireless dimming module?

The relay box can be connected to the hub just fine with a regular usb cable.
You just need to power it off and back on with the cable connected.
The dimming may work the same depending on how the module was built. Send me a photo of the dimming module or check if U1 is populated.

U1 is not there, which means you won't be able to connect the dimming directly using USB cable.

There is an firmware update that is highly recommended to avoid any issues with the RANet expansion modules.

RANet Add On

Why are there no pvr client add-ons available? The repo just shows an empty add-on.

I think they were beta versions.
Roberto should be able to tell you if he has anymore.

I have some still available.
We had some hiccups with the code and libraries, so I wanted to be sure it was working fine, but I don't think anyone is having issues anymore.
Send me a PM if you want to get them.

No. The RA Net is an add on and as off now there are only two modules that work with it.
The wireless power outlets and the wireless dimming module.
