Cannot Update Wifi Firmware

Post by hnnhflns »

My wifi module has not worked since sometime last year. I have been too busy to sit down and work on it since it stopped working.

I am trying to update my firmware, but I can never get past downloading the firmware image. I have looked through several dozen threads trying to find out what is going wrong. But I am not finding anything. I thought that maybe I needed to update the wifi management program, but whenever I try to follow a link to download a new one I am redirected to another page.

Here is the error that I am getting:
Opening Serial Port...

You are already in the latest firmware, which is 4.41
Please follow this thread to reconfigure it: http://forum.reefangel.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4601

I followed the thread step-by-step and I couldn't get the wifi to work. I still have fast blinking blue lights and a slow green light. Did I miss a step?

I think you added an extra space after your SSID and pass.

I wonder if the & in the passphrase is messing with it. Did you try alphanumeric passphrase?
